They're up on the UK site, so I'm guessing that the US site has them too. I ordered one this morning because they ran out pretty quickly last year.

Checked just now, just the Bonesylvanians and the Sugar Skull paint competition Halloween-wise, typing "Ghoulie Bag" into the search didn't bring back any results.

I don't think that you can buy them, they're just an free option to add onto your order after you select what kind of shipping you want. There is a minimum spend though ($40 or$50 I think)

Does anyone know if Reaper is doing the Ghoulie Bags this year? I haven't seen anything in the store about them.

Ghoulish bag is included with the order if you hit a certain dollar amount, along with the Bones usa mini & appropriate freebie minis.

Bones usa pumpkin head bugbear, along with 2 paints (not new colors) & candy.

I slept in a little but I'm still tired, so it obviously wasn't enough. The cats were demanding their morning tribute though, so I had to get up. Grey and rainy skies aren't contributing to wanting to do much of anything. Today might be a reading day with a 50% chance of scattered naps throughout the afternoon.

Mama had a hair appointment this morning.

On the radio they announced that they are having the 32nd annual Outhouse Races in Virginia City this weekend.

Seems that the local council in Virginia City outlawed outhouses circa 33 years ago and in protest the citizenry started dragging their "Chic Sales" down C Street [the main street through Virginia City] in protest.

Somehow, this became an annual event.

Boy Howdy, people in Nevada sure know how to have fun. :bday:😄::P:

Meanwhile, In Carson City, the local American Kennel Club group is having a two day Dog Show.

Good morning/afternoon/evening all. Just woke up here. Was nice to sleep in. Time to go guzzle down copious amounts of coffee.

I’ll just leave this here-

"Whiskers" has an advantage.

Those 9 lives make risky moves less risky, and for at least the first 8 attempts, resurrection is just about a slam dunk.

I spotted this in the factory at Reapercon, so I would say "Yes".

Punkin' headed bugbear, by the way.

But as others have said, it's not something you can buy, it will show up if you place an order.

Messing around with the store now, you get Berg Ironthorn,( Dwarf Crossbowman) and Graveyard Entryway free with $40 purchase plus one of the following: Armorback Demolitionist, Bailey Silverbell, Wall of Fire , Halbarand, Cleric, Ghast, Nightslip.

And the Ghoulie Bag option shows up at the very bottom:

So. toilet repair rant incoming! @Green Eyed Monsty might enjoy, based on the "two ring" suggestion he had.

Spoiler

If you recall, my master bedroom toilet was leaking water into the ceiling of the downstairs bathroom. Turning off the toilet fixed the leak but deeper repairs were needed. My hope was that it was a wax ring that needed replaced, with GEM's suggestion from a plumber to use two wax rings to give a better fit.

When I pulled the toilet this afternoon, there were already two rings . Maybe they'd heard the same advice but I seriously doubt it. Why?

There's no toilet flange.

NONE! Oh, there's a ring screwed to the floor around the opening that bolts down the toilet. But there's nothing holding the drain pipe to the toilet! It simply had wax rings stacked on top of each other to bridge the gap between the pipe and the toilet. My god, the previous owners were horrible at repairs. This isn't the first elfed up repair I've found. They've put screws into the cedar shingles to keep the tips from curling upwards. Silicone by the tube has been pulled out from around bathtubs and under doors. I'm not kidding. Two and three inch thick chunks of the stuff. For some reason my wife thinks they just hired workers who were bad at their jobs but I think this guy thought highly of his "solutions".

And that's not even all of the problem that I now have to deal with. I think what happened is that the flange broke at some point. So he cut it off, went "hurr durr hurr how me fix elf up", and decided to stack a bunch of rings to make up the gap. But because he can't get a saw that straight, it's all cut at an angle! There's this ring of pipe glued to the top of the closet bend, it's not cut straight, AND it has a notch cut out of it. Water was leaking over the top of the wax and also through this notch. When the toilet wasn't leaking from the tank into the bowl, no problem. It got a few drops each flush which dried out quickly enough. But a constant trickle just made a mess.

Why the notch? WHY? Only thing I can think of is they took a smaller piece of pipe and stretched it to fit, or maybe accidentally cut through two sides and it popped off. Who knows?!

Now I get to do a whole bunch of work. I need to clean off all the calcium (and unfortunately other) deposits off of the ABS to make a clean surface. Probably a Dremel with a wire brush. For the notch, I don't think I'll be able to just pack some glue in that and have it hold. Nope. I will have to take some ABS scrapings/powder to make a sort of glue/ABS paste/concrete. Put that into the gap dammed with tape on both sides to hold it in shape while it cures. Then I'll have to put a new flange on top of this pipe, mark around the outside of the tile, then offset that line a bit and cut that piece off (which is where I plan to get the ABS pieces to fill the notch). Rotate that flange 90° so it will be level from that point and glue it to the freshly cleaned and repaired drain pipe. Then I've got a shim kit that I will use between the subfloor to the flange. Flange needs to be at or slightly above the tile. At that point, I'm going to go against the advice of GEM's plumber friend as I should have things to the point where they were designed to be and a single wax ring (reinforced plus slightly more wax) should be sufficient. Then I can put the toilet back onto the new bolts and get everything back together.

Should tackle that leaking tank/bowl interface as well, but I'll fix the bigger issue first.

I had an uneasy feeling you were going to run into difficulties with the floor flange.

From what you are saying it sounds like you are working with ABS pipe instead of cast iron.  Be grateful for small favors, cast iron is even more difficult to repair.

For the rebuild of the end of the pipe might I suggest JB Weld?  Rough up the contact area on the pipe and then build it up with enough JB Weld so that it can be machined with dremel or hand tools to a close fit for the repair flange.  Then JB Weld the repair flange to the newly constructed end of the pipe.  Get some extra bolts for the stool and use a yardstick with a couple of holes drilled through, or two and use four bolts. to get the flange square and level with the existing floor by bolting the flange to the yardstick and then apply the glue and stick it in place.  The long span of the yardsticks will give you a close enough for plumbing work matchup of the replacement flange to the existing floor level for a tight seal with minimum effort.

I'm really sorry you are having to do all this extra work, been there - done that, only with an uneven floor, cast iron pipe [coming up at an angle], and the broken flange as a starting point.

Good Luck, and may the newly expanded repair job go smoothly.

Origins has been... strange. Not bad, just a bit subdued; not as many attendees, nor vendors, nor events. Full sessions for the three events I ran, so it looks like the D&D board games are popular. Still spent too much. And only 9 months until the next one! 😁
