Sadly, I've never gotten to watch any of the Expendables franchise. The Expendables series is really good... WhiteWulfe
Oops, spent $75 instead of $20-30 at art store like originally planned. On the flipside though, I now have several more items I wanted to get my paws on, so I'm calling it a draw.

I'm willing to give money to just about anything with Dolph Lundgren in it (almost anything), but I just saw the third movie has Ronda Rousey in it... really not a fan, don't have it in me to give her a possible royalty check. Guess I'll wait for it to be run on TV sometime. 4 hours ago, PaganMegan said: I met Danny Trejo once, at Border's. I did NOT expect him to be a goofball! I did not realize he is 77 years old. He was in his 50s when he made Desperado. That man aged very well.

So that same submarine was just reported on for having a bed bug infestation that's been going on for well over a year. My first thought was "how are these two things related?"
Kangaroorex
round two of Rob vs the brandy Snap. First round didnt last long enough to test how long they last filled. this round I thought i would try to mix blueberry pulp with whipped cream. this did not go as planned. the cream did not get to a piping consistency. Had to go back to brandy in whipped cream. Still working on the snap recipe its an interesting little cookie? with a hint of ginger heat in the sweet and it surrounds piped (unsweetened) whipped cream. the effect is addictive to say the least.
Popular Post kristof65
My new sailor and his little sister: For months we'd been told that he could only have two guests at his boot camp graduation pass in review, and it was up to him as to who they were. He selected his Mom and I, which meant we had to figure out what to do about his sister. Leave her at home with a friend? Only one of us go to graduation? Thankfully, my parents decided to drive their motorhome out to see him on liberty, and agreed to watch her for us while we were at the pass in review ceremony. Originally, we were going to pass her off to them Thursday morning before going to get the tickets and check into our hotel, but at the last minute we all decided that it would be better if we got the tickets and checked into our hotel first so that we could give a room key to my parents so they could meet us in our room immediately after the pass in review. We showed up at the base to pick up our tickets, and a huge kink was thrown into our plans. The petty officer who was issuing our tickets asked our daughter how old she was, and when she answered, he asked her if she would like to attend the pass in review, too. Of course, she said yes. So he told her to go across the room and ask the officer there if she could go, too. He warned us that the officer might say no, but that we could try. She did, the officer said yes, and she got a ticket, too. Her brother spotted us in the bleachers during the ceremony, and said he spent the whole time he was standing there in formatation wondering how the heck she was there, since as far as he knew, it was only supposed to be the two us. So it was a pretty joyful reunion when we got to see him at liberty call immediately afterwards. 24

It's very possible. I run an assembly line system with figures constantly in various stages of progress, from prepped (being washed or glued), primed, being painted, or spay finished. Last night I prepped some figures, this morning I dull coated some finished figs to take to today's game, tomorrow I need to get some stuff primed and work on in-progress painting. If you can spare 30 minutes a day to prep and prime, you can paint loads during the weekend. Assembly line works really well for me. Prime a bunch, put down undercoats of skin and metallics, and then work on other colors, slowly building up and giving myself a chance to work on a bit at a time. I usually finish with the final skin layer. 8

Popular Post Thoramel
Today marks 22 years of marriage for my wife and I. Or, as we like to think of it, it's the anniversary of when we let the government in on the relationship. Unfortunately we spent the last day and a half moving an elderly family member into a new apartment and we're both super sore. We were planning on disappearing into the woods for the day, which is our version of romantic. But instead I think we're going to spend the day on the couch taking turns with the heating pad and generally recuperating. Can't think of anyone I'd rather spend the day moaning and complaining about getting old with though!
