I think I'm going to sit down and watch all of the Resident Evil movies for Halloween night. I have managed to acquire all of them but I think I only paid for 3-4 of them? The rest were given to me.

I wasn't given details to give, but I think everyone is fine and it was more an issue of Justin not getting back into town in time to run it from the studio.

Having real trouble keeping any motivation right now. A bunch of my coworkers have left or will be leaving in the next month. Heck, I've got an interview tomorrow too.

I have no idea.  Just the other day her friend was harassing her via Facetime about it, and she had no interest.  I used to do elaborate costumes for her brother, and was looking forward to doing the same for her when she got old enough to decide 2-3 months in advance and not change her mind by Halloween. 

I'm really bummed about it because our town has a Town Square trick or treat, and a lot of the parents dress up with their kids. I was going to make myself a costume, too.   My wife tells me I still should, but I don't want to go walk around the square without a kid in costume. 

In other news, I think our engineer is developing a reading comprehension problem.  I asked him a question via email that was copied to all the techs, then another tech asked a related but tangential question, and neither question really got answered in his reply.

So, I was in the local pot shop (O Canada....) chatting with the girl who works there, and grooving with her choice in music, as Ozzy's "Crazy Train" came on and she laughed and said "I'm just about 30. I used to work at a place with like 19-20 year old kids, and they would comment that she plays the music their parents listened to. Then it dawned on me. I'm 40, I am their parents....

Good taste in music. and I got my over the counter sleepy time. Pretty girl too, well from the top of her nose up. One day I suppose I will get to see what the rest of her face looks like.

So one of my players asked if a friend of his could join up on the Saturday game (currently on hold), I said sure np. So he was going to ask him & he'll get back to me. So my home game may have life again. I told him it wouldn't be this week due to the table is full of junk & I didn't feel like cleaning it but next Saturday would work. He also ran into a person I've been wanting to ask if he'd join up, as he is probably the 1st person that I started gaming with at the store & I know cash can be a bit of a problem for him, so he doesn't show up at the store every week. I figured if he had the time, play some D&D for a few hours each week. He's a good player, older, but he knows how to play rpgs. He said he'd try to make it to the game store this week & talk with me.

Went to renew my driver's license today since I was taking my mom to do hers and mine is due soon anyways. To the local Bureau of Motor Vehicles, aka Hell. I always seem to get the person who'd rather not do their job. Got told one of my ID forms I brought wasn't correct (it was, I checked the website before I left), briefly had to argue back and forth that my bank statement wasn't "a financial statement", it was "just a summary and not acceptable" until I pointed to the word "statement" on it... the value of reading. Oh well, won't have to deal with that for another 8 years.

 

I wonder, as the BMV is hell on earth, does it just suck the soul out of the workers, or is it just staffed by demons in human form? And another thing: I get a possible reason why they yell at you if you even show a cell phone in there (sensitive information being shouted through plexiglass and all, don't want it recorded), but is it really for that reason? Could it possibly be so you can't go online immediately and show them that they are wrong versus what is on the website? Essentially, the equivalent of them shoving their fingers in their ears and going "La la la la, I can't hear you"?

That reminds me I need to buy some moar 'industrial hemp flower'.  Was seriously considering a road trip to the pick your own hemp farm til I saw how much they charged... $60 an ounce for uncured bud.   I really should just move to Virginia and grow my own.
