We got new wigglefloofs.

Amazon was turned in by a Bezos minion, which means that he has a strange name for a guy.  He kind of looks like what would happen if Malamute puppies were available in cat.

He tends to take things in stride.

His buddy Viking does not.  Step away from the turkey and no one gets hurt.  We've taken to calling him "Little Big Mad".

He's actually fairly personable when there isn't poultry involved.

We played Ghostbusters last night, after watching the first movie.

Mum's George has a much easier time getting GB than he did getting Pathfinder. ::):

Been through part of this before, a Dullahan in Boston.

Stealing eyes.

The other part is in 1921, in an alternate version of the same characters, when Castle Fitzgerald was being brought over by ship from Ireland.

There's something strange in the neighborhood.

There's something weird, and it don't look good.

@Kuroneko so glad to hear you are improving! Thank you for the pics.

Thank you! Onward and upward!

FYI, spoiler doesn't stop the photos from loading, so does nothing for those on low data. It just makes it easier to skip past the post.

Glad to hear you're recovering, though. And the photos look great.

Wait... they don't? Aw heck :(

Also, thank you!

I'm glad you're on the mend, @Kuroneko, and thank you kindly for the wonderful pictures!

Thank you, hopefully I'll get a bit more elevation next time. My homeland is truly gorgeous on the 3 days per year that it doesn't rain!

I love how Kuroneko is like "yeah, I'm still recovering so I'll only go for a 6 mile walk today".

::D::ph34r::lol:

I used to be able to happily run that distance before my body betrayed me, so yeah, it's all recovery at the moment. That said, easy paths and not walking through mud make a world of difference. The previous walk was awful, with the highlight being a bridge over a burn(Scots for stream) that had another burn running downhill over it!

I love the

walkers shortbread biscuits!

We get them in a large tin at Costco/

A plus is the tins make for excellent long term storage for paints.

GEM

Who is having a migraine day.

Shortbread is sooo good! Dean's or Patterson's shortbread is even better, but I don't know if they even get shipped across the Atlantic.

We got some exotic biscuits today too ::D:

What are the blue arrows for? Do people not understand they should be walking on the bridge?

I got a brown sugar shortbread recipe to die for....

And until this morning, this was my back yard:

Grump's cop game ended on the start of the next arc, I'm sure.

We have had problems with a paladin Lord Commissioner, who was murdered at the start of tonight's game. Turned to stone, then shattered.

At the end of tonight's game, Big Blue the beholder was arrested for the murder.

He told us to stand down, and let the arrest happen, but "get cracking" on the investigation.

I do not trust the interim captain one bit, he's oozing smarm, and I think he wants to break up the squad.

Lord Sir Balmar the Elder was an unmitigated broccoli that has tried to derail investigations twice, I won't miss him.

He thought that having a city wide investigative branch of the police was in "poor form". That a beholder should never have been put in a position of authority. That halflings and women should be employed for support roles only. That there are just too many orcs and dwarves in the city. And that " a mere chit of a girl should never have been crowned monarch". The "mere chit" is in her forties!

Twice he was proved wrong, and twice he SINCERELY apologized, then goes on making the same mistakes and assumptions! broccoli!

Now he's dead, and someone who had EVERY REASON to want him dead has been arrested for it.

I am thinking dwarves, because the killer stole the petrified tongue, and the Dwarf Mafia does that, to make sure the dead men tell no tales.

I didn't type "broccoli".

Why is today acting like Monday?

I woke up with a touch of vertigo and double vision.  So I went back to bed.  Two hours later and the world looks and acts the same.

GEM

Vertigo finally subsided late in the evening.

Spent all day with my left eye, the one with the [successfully repaired] detached retina covered with an eye patch so I could actually function around the house.

Still having the double vision problem.

Nothing makes you appreciate having fully functioning binocular vision like having it go kerflooey.

GEM

Hoping everybody else is hale and hearty

Dreary Sunday morning here... so let's warm up with knowledge and begin the trivia for November 14th:

  • 1770 – James Bruce, traveler and writer, discovered what he believed to be the source of the Nile (he becomes credited with confirming the source, but not being the first European to find it).

  • 1889 – Pioneering female journalist Nellie Bly (real name Elizabeth Cochrane) began a successful attempt to travel around the world in less than 80 days. She completed the trip in 72 days.

  • 1967 – American physicist Theodore Maiman was given a patent for his ruby laser system, the world's first laser.

Painting has happened! ::D:

But nothing new is finished.

That said, I'm going to try to get some more work done this morning. I was thinking about my collection and I really want to get the "ladies of the night" and zombie strippers (peelers for our Canadian friends) done. In a color scheme that makes me chuckle.

But first, I'm going to get some more work done on my game project.

I’ve been on vacation (stay-cation) all week, and painting as much as I can stand.  Sadly, tomorrow it will be time to turn the work computer on and see what I have missed this week.

It’s gloomy and chilly here today; I’m working on some sourdough bread, and I think a pot of ham and navy bean soup is going to be cooked up later.

I was at work yesterday and me and the boys were hanging around, talking, waiting for the trailer to be moved. I suddenly realized there was a bulge in my back pocket and I said, "What's in my back pocket?" expecting it to be a mask or tissues or something. Nope. I pulled out a pair of pink panties and held them up for everyone to see. I laughed so hard. "Who is redder, me or these panties?"
