Um, yeah, I still have several very nasty Get Off Me Knives from my working years. There are some VERY unpleasant looking and handling ones...

I am SO glad I am retired.

I hear you.

So, there are all these lovely celtic-inspired fonts ....

*flees*

I wouldn't inflict that upon my friend. It's already a dwarven theme so will be plenty of knotwork in the axes and helmet. I found one that night work but need to get a picture of it.

Soooo... Norse-inspired?

*would flee, but is hampered by being soaked, because it is POURING OUT*

Sigh. Hate to admit this, but I'm kinda tired of my AD&D game. Kinda tired of most everything rn. And yet but however... been thinking lately how much I'd love to run a Pathfinder game again. So I dunno.

The great thing about having no artistic talent whatsoever is that I never have to use any font except Times New Roman.

And emotes. 🙃

I'll just leave this here. WIP. Privateer Press Mini-crate from a couple months ago finally showed up. Death Metal Fel Caller, that I just absolutely had to have because just look at it(though he's more waaaay more punk rock than death metal with those liberty spikes). Except the guitar hasn't been touched yet aside from painting the hand the color of the rest of the skin.

Not gonna lie, I kind of like how the thing looks with just the stuff I have painted already and the priming.

I consider my collection small

which it probably is compared to yours

but most people think it is large...

I started playing some 3 weeks before 2nd Edition launched, and I remember being overwhelmed with wonder at all of the possibilities of this peculiar game.  Some three years later, I discovered miniatures existed to go with it.  Eventually I came to like the miniatures more than the game, then the game became essentially an excuse for miniatures, and eventually I just dispensed with the formality of the game part altogether.

It was fun for a while, had some good times, but the nature of the game and playing it comes with some requisite issues of scheduling, finding good players, workload, and eventually it just wasn't really worth it anymore.

A little history trivia for June 14th:

  • 1789 – HMS Bounty mutiny survivors including Captain William Bligh and 18 others reached Timor after a nearly 7,400 km (4,600 mi) journey in an open boat.

  • 1966 – The Vatican announced the abolition of the Index Librorum Prohibitorum ("index of prohibited books"), which was originally instituted in 1557.

  • 2002 – Near-Earth asteroid 2002 MN missed the Earth by 75,000 miles (121,000 km), about one-third of the distance between the Earth and the Moon.
