@Green Eyed Monsty Thanks.  I'm finally making progress!!

I'm approximately halfway done.  Red, Orange and Brown lines are "done", Yellow lines are the ones that need to be routed.   The Autorouting function is not nearly as helpful as I would like, but at least it gives me a starting point.

As I progress through this and start to see enough organization to create my map in Campaign Cartographer with, I realize that this master map is likely to be GM's eyes only. I think the player maps are going to be simpler sub maps along the line of old strip maps or AAA Triptik maps.

This version looks even better.

And I think you are on the right track with a "GMs Eyes Only" version, with player maps containing only "need to know" information.

Finally! The kinder is doing better.

Oh, did I mention that she projectile vomited in the living room yesterday. Right after drinking the miralax laced juice too.

And then she vomited at her baby sitter’s house after trying to drink more of the miralax juice. I think her stomach hates the stuff.

But on the recommendation of a couple of folks, I have her some dark corn syrup, and that did the trick.

She happily ate the curry I made for dinner tonight and kept it down too.

Over the years, Beekeepers became the one place I could (usually) have civil conversations with people of many different…

I miss it less and less the further in the past it is.

Time to get back to out food logging W.O.O.F headquarters anyway.

With the coming of Spring, it looks like the gremlins have targeted my washing machine. Thus this week I embark upon an epic quest to obtain a water inlet valve, and in my freshly woken state right now, I'm pretty sure that involves seeking out the Sears-Kenmore Beast and beating it with a cane until it drops the part I need....

Sadness is when your library system has over 7000 books on search term = ancient egypt, but you're convinced you've read all the good ones already. I really like some of the kids ones, because --pictures!. The one in town has this really neat one by Stephen Biesty that's like a Where's Waldo of the ancient world. It's OOP, or I'd have my own copy. The librarian will give it to me when she culls it from the system, but the fact I take it out every other month means that won't be happening for a while.

What's the fine for "losing" it?  Not that I suggest you steal it, but ask the librarian what would happen if you accidentally left it at a bus stop or coffee shop and if she'd be amenable to that turn of events.  Should it come to pass, of course.

So, I was a little bit late for work today. ( Not really a big deal,  I'll just stay a few minutes late today to balance it out )

What's more interesting,  though is WHY I was late; some horses had gotten out of their enclosure and were wandering across the road to see if the grass was greener on the other side.

Now this isn't all that out of the ordinary either,  I've seen farm animals in the road before. No, what makes it weird, as well as one of the things I haven't gotten used to yet since moving to Fort Worth, is the fact that this took place right in the middle of a city, with hotels and other businesses right across the street from the field where the horses had been grazing.

As I said, I'm used to seeing farm animals in the road before,  but it had always been out in the country where you would expect to find farms. Seeing it in the literal middle of a large city is just weird.

I have all sorts of catching up to do…

This one was Beef, Mustard, Havarti Cheese, Lettuce, and Pickles.

There may have been several kinds of mustard. And why does chellspecker not recognize Havarti as a type of cheese?

( The sandwiches kick shows no signs of abating. )

Fifty years ago Fort Worth was this town (with genuine, actual, tall buildings y’all!) separated from Dallas (or Denton) by open countryside, pastureland, places where animals grazed, horse farms, small ranches, etc.

The critters were here first.

All those businesses are what is new in the landscape.

And there are some funny laws still around that make it worth having a horse or two . . . if a scrap of land is used for agricultural purposes (that grass is for the horses!) it gets treated very differently—much more favorably—when property taxes are calculated.

Dayton, Nevada isn't a large town but it has a definite urban center.  There is a State Park, with campground, following the Carson River directly adjacent to the downtown area.  One of the local casinos has a nice patch of lush green grass directly adjacent to US 50, the main highway through town.  There is a small herd of Virginia Range Wild Horses who routinely graze at this location, right downtown.  I've seen this same group of horses clustered around the ground package for the casino HVAC unit during cold weather.

NDOT [Nevada Department of Transportation] is currently engaged in the installation of cattle guards at all the main road crossings through the Dayton Valley and upgrading all the right of way fencing to control the various herds crossing this high speed highway to keep the various small herds from wandering onto the roadways.

From what I have observed, most of the horses are "street smart" enough to stay out of the road, but occasionally there is a report of an accident involving a horse, usually to the permanent detriment of the horse.

So, this weekend I cleaned my painting area up. it is still not finished, but the painting part is done. I did not get a final picture. I did get some hobbying done, I will post pictures in a WIP thread.

I had to work Sunday ended up working 8 1/2 hours by myself. I got a lot done for being by myself, so I was a little happy.

My oldest told me yesterday that one of her best friends was killed in a car accident over the weekend. My heart hurts for her. I am headed down to see her tomorrow for a little bit, then I have to run home and work 8pm - 2am. it will be a long day, but if it helps my oldest it will be worth every minute.

dang blast it, how come my pictures are coming up as a DL file and not as a picture in the thread. I drag and drop it...
