I have learned the auction price of a sanguinary guard space marine is the same as the retail price of a 6inch sub. Do with this knowledge what you will.

Sometimes you get a 2 for 1 coupon?

Buy 10, get one free?

It implies that foot long guards are a possibility?

Sanguinary guard wings remind you of a sub in its wrapper?

Both come with your choice of toppings? ("I'll take mine with extra heresy please.")

Supposedly my new computer desk is suppose to be here today. I guess technically it's still on vacation, but it would have been nice had it delivered earlier this week.

I should clean up the existing one to make way for the new one............

Driver should be here in about ten minutes, so needless to say I'm rather pumped up about it all.  Kind of tempted to take a pic of Sir Forscale next to the boxes, but uh....  It's a 6' workbench, so he'd barely be visible in the photo....

Random unexpected day off!

Ugh, I needed this too. I was left in charge at work! So of course things did what they always do, get worse when I'm the only one around to deal with it. The IRS mice got mad that we're cleaning out desks to get rid of old food so they ate the power cables behind my cubicle's power outlets. So I have an entire team on telework that I cannot contact and my phone is going off with the manager on vacation and the IT guys and another guy who'd lost power.

Manager finds out about all this. I'm back online within an hour and a half. She finds out I've twisted the Official Directive of what we're required to do this week to suit my needs and my team's skills in a weirdly efficient way. Manager finds out what I did with the guy who never could get back online. I pick up my day right where it left off. Now she's telling me I should look into going into management myself.

But I don't wanna!

After the week I just had, I was happy to discover that Pepsi Blue is back.

Hrm. I tried it recently, and wasn't particularly impressed. I didn't think it tasted much like Pepsi, or even like blue. To be honest, it was sort of like drinking a carbonated version of the flavored water you get at the dollar stores.

If given a choice of spending money on one or the other, I'll take roasted chicken on Italian herb and cheese bread, please...

Weird.

I'm bored, so I was having a browse on Ebay looking at minis when some caught my eye, looked a bit closer and realised that they used to be mine.

I sold my copy of the 54mm Ral Partha Journey to the Gathering to Noble Knight Games cuz I was broke and needed money.

About a year later, I was looking on Noble Knight and found a copy of it for sale.

My copy.

And I bought it back.

I painted that (my 2nd entry into RCON painting contest, thou the first one only counts for me).

I do have a old Ral Partha Kobold sculpted by Jason Wiebe (I think) that I painted up wearing a blue Hawaiian shirt with bright orange & yellow flower). No pics of this one.

I have a new ambition.

Got a bunch of rejections on stories today. But! Lifted some weights. That routine seems to be sticking. Also took my mom to a birthday party and drove down some roads I'd never traveled today. It was pretty all right.

Tonight's viewing: Hellsing Ultimate. One thing I'll say: The first episode was way too rushed, and the music in that original series they did was way better. I guess that's two things.

Tumbler full of Laphroaig in hand. First time having it--maybe a bit smokier than I like. Heavier on the peat, I guess I should say? I dunno, I'm hardly a sophisticate. But it's quite nice. It's nine o'clock and I already can't feel my face. 😶

So! What're y'all up to?

Nice.  Stick with it, lifting is great fun.  I still haven't replaced all my gear from the house fire and all the gyms are closed so the best I can manage is exercising like I'm in a POW camp.

I'm not enjoying it at all tbh, but I've just gotten so weak in recent years, especially since I was sick last year. I like to think it's helping.

In other news, I've got Waffle House on the brain and the Nazis in Hellsing here have got me thinking "panzerwaffle."
