Sadly I missed out when one was hosted in Alberta, but oh well.  Our boys were top dogs that round, much to the annoyance of many top tier American pilots.  Word was some claimed favouritism and the Canadians were laughing because we had like ONE judge the whole event...

Word was it was a pretty good event.  I wouldn't mind attending one one of these days if one's nearby ^_^

If you ever able to, do it.

I've taken part in some manouvres and meetings, but the Tiger Meets stand out.

At one party I visited the British stand, I don't like beer so I asked them what they had, they wanted to have fun with me and gave me a glass of gin ( lemonade size glass).

I drank it in one go, looked at the guy and said that it wasn't bad.

Then they wanted to have drinks with me...

After that visiting the Italians, they had these little limoncello cakes..well what they had was cakes bathing in limoncello.

The Germans had little coloured shots, you were supposed to drink all three in the order of the colours of their flag.

It was a good thing we had a designated driver to the hotel that night..

The original model kit of the X-wing fighter for the leader of Red Squadron used during filming of the Death Star trench attack scene in 'A New Hope' just sold at auction for 2.3 million dollars.

Filtration went in yesterday. Well is being decommissioned as I type, and that just leaves the trench to be filled in; that was supposed to happen sometime this week, but hasn't .. yet.

There's still time (prime inconvenience hour would be roughly now, because hyuge trucks in mah yard, but.. well. We'll see).

I have a Plan involving burgers tomorrow, because damnit, I have been wanting a burger for ages ... Specifically, I have been wanting one of MY burgers. Ideally, grilled. We'll see about that bit..

Is there anything more quintessentially American than chicken souvlaki cooked on the hibachi?

The Greek Food Festival we go to was pushed back to the end of September, so Grump did Grump's thing. ::P::lol:

It was yummy. ::):

He also made Unpronouncable Sauce for it.

TGIFA

Was on the same service call this morning from 9:30am until 1:30pm.   The site has been having the same ongoing problems for weeks, and I got sucked into it because the other tech dealing with them has been on holiday this week.

Managed to get one of the three down bays working, but I have no freaking idea what the problem with the other two bays are.  On most days, around 12:30-1pm, those two bays just shut down with a "bay closed" message.  Next morning, they're working again.  With everything I know about the system and what the distributor tech told me about the site, it doesn't make sense.  It's like there is a timer shutting them down, but there are no timers in the board circuitry or firmware.

The distributor tech and I threw our hands in the air and decided we'd just replace all four circuit boards.

I slept twelve hours last night. Guess I needed it, but now I will be sleepy for the rest of the day. My day off so my plans for the day are shot. But that’s like every off day.

Did I honestly not hit submit?! *sigh* Nobody noticed but me.

Not unpronounceable - tzatziki is pretty much pronounced the way it is spelled.

Wow... I'm amazed... tzatziki was already in my spell checker....

I'm the only one home right now, and I just heard a noise from the other room. It was the sound of a chair moving (desk chair, so it's got wheels).

After announcing to what I sincerely hoped was an empty house that I'm armed, I began investigating. Rounding the corner towards the room that the noise came from, I heard a 'mew' and saw one of the cats sitting in the desk chair.

Cat scared the heck out of me.
