Randomness XVIII: Ex-Vee-Triple-Eye

Recommended Posts

Got a real massage for the first time in like 3 years yesterday. It was nice and I'm not as sore as I'd anticipated.

I have a tooth pain that I hope is related to the wisdom tooth in that area. I woke up and was thinking maybe I should go to the dentist which is so not me.

We are getting a new roof tomorrow. Which means we'll probably end up spending most of the day at the in-laws because they want to start at like 7 am. I am not prepared to wake up that early (I woke up at 11 today. Mostly trying to sleep off the pain but, yeah). We were planning on doing yard work on Saturday when it's supposed to be a little cooler but since they are doing the roof tomorrow we need to get things cleaned up since they basically throw everything into the yard and then clean it up when they are done but they don't want to miss any nails so it needs trimming.

The rest of this month and the entirety of next month are going to be entirely way too busy.

Pretty close. Imagine the plastic sheet is there to keep the sudden increase in room pressure from destroying the HVAC, but then after a few tenths of seconds it needs to melt and let the HVAC blow into the room. Best solution we could devise to have it done within the 30 days needed (recalling large corporation != fast responses and quick processes).

So it's ablative armour...

I got closer than I thought.

Pretty interesting, just signed up for the D&D playtest for the next edition, One D&D or whatever it's called. I'm not sure if I'll jump fully into the next edition as I've put quite a bit of cash into 5e, but it'll be neat to see the progress.

Whaaaaat? I haven't even fully gotten 5th yet, and now they're going to go and change it all again?

What I've seen it's more or less a 5.5. It's not anther edition per se, but they are making backwards compatible. Heck, even the playtest, has references to the 5e Player's Handbook. It'll be 2024 when the new Player's Handbook releases.

So if this guy was actual size (IE, 1:1 scale), what would his clothes be made of?

Reaper Gremlin, for the record.

So I was thinking candy wrappers, and that I would paint him and his brothers accordingly.

Rummaged around and found some wrappers, then cut the small pieces to the size that their clothes would be made of, and it pretty much comes down to solid colors.

Ablative TPS. Most reentry vehicles' heat shields are exactly that.

I was going to say tweed and rough cord woven from the collected dust bunnies under the couch. But wrappers are good. Easy to wash and dry, and probably fairly warm.
