Agreed. My deepest sympathy, and all my prayers and good thoughts. I know neither is likely to help much, but it's all I can do.

Same. That’s part of what makes this so awful for me. With a dime, or an injury, I can be proactive and do a thing. With this, all I can do is make sure my brother knows I’ll be there for him if he needs to talk. I can’t even give him a hug, because we’re 1000 miles apart.

And it’s just so, sooo f**king stupid. It’s a stupid disease, and it’s stupid that you can just randomly f**king get it, and there’s absolutely nothing you can do to prevent getting it. F**king stupid.

Sorry to hear about your brother @redambrosia. ALS is a disease we as a human race & all our inventions & ideas should have irradicated long ago.

Fun night at the FLGS last night, PFS game went as planned. I texted a friend to come down for the game & he did + the young couple also showed up again so there was 4 of us. The game did run longer then the GM had planned, as it was only a 2 hr at the most & we went close to 4 as the young couple did ask allot of questions (which is a good thing) when it came to investigating & such. Since I'm use to AL/PFS games, it's basically point A to point B in terms of the complexity of the adventure. Either way it was fun to play as a player. I'll probably bring my halfling rogue down to RCon & I may try & get into a game or two.

Figures, I get a email from mini'market regarding Game Plus foam trays, weekend sale 7 bucks each.......sigh.

We did too. No idea if or what we're going to do. We have a ton of Shadows of Brimstone that need storage and that seems to be the best way to do so.

It also means it's been 10 years since I met you wonderful people here who are just as loony as I am.

I resent the implication, sir. I am at least twice as crazy as you are, and have the appropriate psychiatric documentation to prove it.

People need to be placed on unpaid leave for that. Maybe even fired. This is how you lose vehicles dramatically. It circumvented so many required processes that it needs to be a giant slap-down on these people. From. The. Top. This is NOT how you work problems.

People need to be lined up in front of a public assembly of their coworkers and yelled at right into their faces at length while being repeatedly physically slapped upside the head for that.

They should have their college degrees and professional certifications revoked. And possibly their license to operate opposable thumbs.

I imagine there is a fair amount of training involved to know how to do it. I intend to ask my PT about it, in the event that I want to learn to do it to myself if this wrist/hand problem turns out to be chronic. I need my dominant hand so I can work to buy more minis and paint the ones I have.

There's probably plenty of information online about how to use it - when I bought some for my wrist, it came with a little thing about how to place it for various areas.

There's a lot of diseases like that, where there is no prevention, no cure and not even that much desire to eradicate it. Not even pretending to get rid of some things that afflict us because there isn't enough profit in it.

I'm sorry for your brother and the difficulties this brings to your family.

Frustration, but joy right now. I only need a couple more maps drawn, really just one, as I can draw it up during the adventure, but anyways, I went to stick the 3d replacement PC minis into the foam & of course I dropped one, a Twin Goddess wizard/sorceress with 3 fireballs wrapped around her & of course she breaks, right at the wrist holding the fireball over her head. No amount of glue is gonna hold that small of an area, so crunch, into the trash she goes. I don't feel like re-slicing that figure (since some of her is on the right side of my plate, & I have a dying LCD on that side,  I'm back to option #2 for that character, which was a Darksword wizard with flames in her hands at her side. Very annoying.

Maps have been a bit frustrating, I'd forgotten how finicky Gaming Paper can be epically older GP. The one I'm using right now won't stay flat, it just want to return to being rolled up...sigh. It makes for a long drawing session. Luckily, all I have is just 1 big building to draw up & I'm done with maps!

Ow!  Feeling a bit of that here, too. DH printed a last minute figure for a con entry, and had a good start on the paint job, then dropped it this afternoon and there went an arm....

He's printing 3 more this evening.

Hey on the bright side, I just got a text from a "Mr Franco" from the powerball lottery winner of $768 million. I've been randomly picked to receive $50k!!!

Sweet, what I'll be able to do with that cash!!

Father in law of my sister in law just got a diagnosis of stomach cancer. He’s 80, so the doctors decided to not treat it at all. No radiation. No surgery. No chemotherapy. He’s “too old” to worry about, as it is a slow cancer and he wouldn’t live long enough for them to treat it.

Seems off, but what do I know.
