All this talk of meetings (I'm just getting caught up) I have 7 today, including 3 overlapping ones right now.  Two are basically bridges for production implementations (because who doesn't love implementations on Fridays.....).

They are trying to cram through all the Windows 2008 server replacements before the official end of life for the OS.  Yes, they've know about this for half a year or more.  Yes, they've had plans for most of these finalized for months.

Yes they are trying to cram them all into a 4 week period for some reason.  Yes, I'm the team resource for all of them for dealing with are part.....  sigh.

Makes one look forward to the "vacation" that comes with major back surgery, hopefully in Nov.

I get a bit giggly when the second paragraph of the test report I am reading starts with how much C-4 was needed to initiate the test.

How much are we talking?  The most C-4 I've loaded into a vehicle was 3 separate 1750 lb. (794 kg.) charges hooked up to some significantly smaller rockets that would tow them into position and were somehow not provided by the ACME corporation.  Explosions that big don't really make a noise so much as pick you up and slap you upside the noggin, followed by what seems like 5 minutes of falling debris.

Muuuuuuch less. Just enough to attempt initiation of the warhead for hazard classification.

My Friday is quiet. Had one email before we left to fill up the wife’s mall craft booth. Set up my out of office assistant to reply for me while I was gone but got nothing while we were out. So I replied bavk to my lone email and that’s been my day.

<. That happy feeling when you take the heap of dirty dishes in the kitchen; start shoving them in the dishwasher and you discover that every last one fits inside;  with no left over space >
