Gluten free cookies suck pretty hard compared to their floury counterparts. About the only one I buy outside of a special bakery treat are GF oreos--they actually taste like oreos!

Gluten free is tricky! Hence my comment earlier in the thread - of course for me it's more difficult because I can't have chocolate either

Add dairy free to that and it becomes a royal PITA (hence my wife putting together her own cookbook...one day she intends to make it available to buy)

This is probably why I call them glutton-free.

Once you get used to it, you can definitely pig-out on them

[This is gonna stir things up!]

What's the best cookie? 😈

It would be hard to pick just one, but year in and year out, if I want some general purpose cookies, I usually either make a chocolate chip oatmeal cookie, or a molasses crinkle spice cookie.

I just baked a batch of gluten free chocolate chip cookies from a recipe matching the flour I had on hand, off the King Arthur Flour web site.  I wouldn’t immediately identify them as gluten free when eating them, so that’s a success.  The xanthan gum gave the dough an unusual sticky texture when baking, though.

Coffee, tea, juice or milk, what is by your breakfast plate?

Cup of good strong Garam Masala Tea as soon as I get up, nothing actually with breakfast. (Which is usually just a bowl of yoghurt.)

I normally skip breakfast, but when it happens, it's coffee.

And for the rest of the day, it's also mostly coffee.

Nothing, unless the  milk in my cereal counts.

On days that I have 'real' ( bacon, eggs,  etc. ), it's some kind of fruit juice.

Coffee! And if it's the weekend, and I have no pressing concerns for the day, it's coffee with a bit of rum.

90+% of what I drink is plain water. Occasionally I have a coffee or tea, rarely apple juice.

When doing your banking, do you prefer On-line, the ATM, Drive-up or to go in?

From the car. Most comfortable, and I have my trusty bottle of sanitizer sitting right beside me. It does suck in the winter when you have to let the cold air into the warm car when the window goes down.

Water in the glass. The milk is usually in my cereal on days that I have that.
