I remember the year I got a ton of Jurassic Park themed school supplies. I had the backpack, lunch kit, pencils, eraser... it was a happy time. When I got older, I always liked getting mechanical pencils. Well we ARE looking for more Quisitors.. Wanna join???

And @haldir steps up for February, our newest Quizzitor! Graph paper. Intended for math and science homework, but in reality for the creation of maps of dungeons and towns and what have you. 51 minutes ago, Glitterwolf said: Well we ARE looking for more Quisitors.. And @haldir steps up for February, our newest Quizzitor! Second place item: the clear vinyl bag with holes on one side to fit the 3-ring binder and a zip-lock style zipper on the other. I still have one of them that was/is filled with D&D dice from that time. EDIT: Found it! It's a bit amazing that this thing has survived for about 35 years in relatively good condition. First place item: The combined plastic ruler/protractor that had the geometric shape stencil cutouts. I used that thing to draw & doodle art designs when I was supposed to be paying attention to lessons. My brand new Pens. This brings ^ back memories. I was always very excited to get a new one. Nearly always managed to disappoint though. Because all the ones I had, one of the four barrels would be sub-par. The green would be scratchy, or the red would skip, or something…. 8

My walkman and a bunch of tapes. I was a fairly early adopter and lived in my headphones. My tapes were mostly heavy metal bootlegs because it was almost impossible to find heavy metal albums in the early 80s.

Great Khan Artist
One day I will get an avatar photo. There is the old metal Khan on chariot from GW's LoTR who is supposed to be holding an axe. I keep meaning to paint him up and put a paintbrush in his hand instead.

And the notebooks with spirals at the top were always more expensive or wide-ruled (I liked college-ruled spacing). I finally switched to legal pads in college, plus the yellow paper helped finding graded homework and retrieving from the pile easier. You could always use them backwards.

I've altered my life enough to live in this right-handed world (scissors, computer mice, always having to use a right-handed rule during physics courses), I have to draw the line somewhere!

Now that's just crazy talk. I tried this. I am right-handed. But I am also an airplane parts guy… (LH Shown RH Opposite!) …and the number of parts that are either mirror images of each other or designed to be reversible is large. So I pulled a spiral notebook off the shelf and tried rotating it 180° That pretty much worked. But there were (3) discrepancies. First, that puts the three punched holes meant for binders on the right side of the sheet instead of the left side. 2nd, the tear out holes and ragged edge winds up on the right instead of the left. 3rd, there is no vertical red ruled line to indicate the starting edge of paragraphs. It too, is on the wrong side. But the last one is easily rectified with a ruler and the Red ink clicked open on a BiC® 4-color ballpoint pen. Unlike right-handed folk a left handed student could easily do Justified Text.
