Answers for Round 12:

Question 80: Melbourne Museum has the most complete skeleton of which dinosaur?

Answer:

Spoiler

The triceratops. Named Horridus, it was found in Montana, USA.

Question 81: The Norwegian Lundehund was bred to hunt which bird?

Answer:

Spoiler

The puffin. The Lundehund would scale sheer-faced cliffs to raid puffin nests, being able to climb the rocks and squeeze into tight areas due to its size and joint articulation. Here's a pic of the shoulder joint flexibility in action (though not hunting puffin, as it's illegal in Norway).

Question 82: What country touches the Mediterranean Sea, the Bay of Biscay and the Atlantic Ocean?

Answer:

Spoiler

Spain. The Atlantic touches it at the northwest and southwest borders, the Mediterranean on the east and south, and the Bay of Biscay is at it's northern coast. France would also be acceptable, though most of its coast with the Atlantic is due to the Bay of Biscay... some may argue this invalidates the answer, but as judge I'll allow it.

Question 83: What does "DOS" stand for?

Answer:

Spoiler

Disk Operating System

Question 84: Jacques-Louis David's painting shows Napoleon crossing what mountain range?

Answer:

Spoiler

The Alps. The painting's title is "Napoleon Crossing the Alps." Five versions of the oil painting were actually created from 1801 to 1805, the first by the King of Spain, second/third/fourth by Napoleon, and the fifth for David himself.

Question 85: J. R. Simplot became a billionaire by selling/supplying what food item to McDonalds?

Answer:

Spoiler

French fries. The J. R. Simplot Company produced agricultural products, notably potatoes. In 1967, the company could provide frozen french fries to the McDonalds chain year-round (fresh russet potatoes were unavailable for three months of the year, necessitating the use of frozen), and by 2005 it accounted for over half of the chain's supply. A year before his death in 2008, Simplot was valued at $3.6 billion.

Question 86: What is the shared name of a town on all the continents (excluding Antarctica)?

Answer:

Spoiler

Roma. According to Geotargit-dot-com, there are 35 places in 23 countries in the world named Roma. Some countries for each continent:

Africa: Lesotho

Asia: Indonesia and Philippines

Australia: Queensland

Europe: Italy (Roma is Italian for Rome), also Sweden and Romania
