ManvsMini
Posting the answers to the week's round. Question 269: What is a young female horse called? Answer: Spoiler A filly. Refers to any female horse that is too young to be called a mare (roughly less than four years old). Question 270: What is the subtitle of J. R. R. Tolkien's The Hobbit? Answer: Spoiler There and Back Again/Or There and Back Again. Full title is The Hobbit, Or There and Back Again. With or without the "Or", as you like it for the subtitle, it all gets credit. Question 271: In what organ of the human body would you find the fovea? Answer: Spoiler The eye. It's a little pit in the retina, part of the macula. It's function is to help with sharp central vision, i.e. the direction you are looking towards. Question 272: What flower was Monet most famous for painting? Answer: Spoiler Water lilies. Monet had a series of paintings devoted to them (about 250 paintings). Your answer must be "water lilies" for credit, not "lilies." Despite the name, water lilies are not true lilies, belonging to a different genus (and an entirely different taxonomic order) Question 273: Which 1954 Best Picture film features the line, "I could have been a contender"? Answer: Spoiler On the Waterfront. Won eight Academy Awards, including Best Actor for Marlon Brando and Best Supporting Actress for Eva Marie Saint. Well worth the time to watch. Question 274: In the song "Hot Blooded" by Foreigner, the singer has a fever of what temperature? Answer: Spoiler 103. Well, I'm hot-blooded, check it and see I got a fever of a hundred and three Come on, baby, do you do more than dance? I'm hot-blooded, I'm hot-blooded Question 275: Apart from both being museums, what do the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the Louvre have in common? Answer: Spoiler They both have a design by the same architect. I. M. Pei provided the design for the entrances to both museums (he designed the entire RnRHoF), the glass pyramid for the Louvre, and the RnRHoF which also features similar glass designs. That concludes the week's round. The usual scoring, one point per question for a potential 7 total points. Total possible for the year is now 282 points.

Cranky Dog
Only 2, ouch! Total 148. It's been over a decade since I read The Hobbit. My memory was tainted by the Peter Jackson trilogy; so I was stuck thinking it was "An unexpected journey."
