ManvsMini
Time for answers for the round: Question 24: What drink was marketed originally as an "Esteemed Brain Tonic and Intellectual Beverage"? Answer: Spoiler Coca-Cola. The ad claimed it could cure headaches, relax your nerves and deliver an exhilarating and refreshing sense of joy. Question 25: What words were shortened and combined for "wilco"? Answer: Spoiler Will comply. Question 26: Albert Einstein won the 1921 Nobel Prize in Physics for what work? Question 28: What gives beer its bitterness and is also a preservative? Answer: Spoiler Hops. Question 29: John Hetherington allegedly introduced what men's fashion accessory in 1797? Answer: Spoiler The top hat. There is debate over who invented it, so Hetherington is possibly an error, but he is often cited as such. Question 30: What does NATO stand for? Answer: Spoiler North Atlantic Treaty Organization Ok, 7 questions worth 9 possible points. With 24 previous points, that makes the current total possible for the year 33 points. Cranky Dog
Good week. 7 points, for 20 total. I got all the destinations! I even visited all of them. But still only counted 3 points. I didn't know what got Einstein the Nobel prize, but kind of remembered it wasn't for the theory of relativity. I had no clue regarding the men's fashion, so I took a wild guess with high heels (it *was* a thing, just not the right one).

Actually none of the questions the past few weeks have come from my Trivial Pursuit editions, been using several trivia sites directly or using them for inspiration to come up with them. But I'm going to treat myself to a newer edition of Trivia Pursuit on the next paycheck... I think I've earned it. You're all doing well! And we're only a month into the year. Will post next question after I get some breakfast. 2
