Kengar
Here's my little corner of the basement: Currently I also have some shelf space by the pantry and an area for my gaming table, so I can't complain. But I'm afraid if I was ever out of town for a few days, my wife might decide to "reorganize" and I'd come back to a shoebox full of paint bottles and a few brushes tossed in it and my geek cave converted into who-knows what. fieldarchy
sheesh and I complain that my area is too small?! I at least have the whol dining room for my "geek cave". I just need to reorganize it so I have everything organized and within reach. I also need to get stuff together for BL demo's now. Hope to have a new and improved space later this week! vhaidra
Here is my working space. As you see there is just on it what I REALLY need for painting and after painting I put it all away into that very handy paper boxes. I put all my painting equipement into these boxes (Miniatures, Paints, Brushes, Bases, Material for Bases and so on). So everything will stay clean and save and I can find everything if I search something. Often I put my painting equipement on the table in the Living room so that I can watch (hear) television while I'm painting, lol. If I paint in the Living room I'm sitting on pillows because the table is to low for a chair. I put the drawers with the paints beside me on the floor. That works great too. mattmcl
That's far too neat and organized for me. I'd never be able to find anything.
Beowulfthehunter
I realy need to change out my Cardboard Blotter, but here is my painting Area And here is my Model Area I work in two different areas as I do a heavy amount of modeling for minis and such. I do not want metal shaving everywhere.
Madog Barfog
My wife, who made our dining room set, plans to make not only a painting table for me with a rolling hideaway top but also a gaming table with drawers and little mini-table units that roll out from under it. Unfortunately, the imminent possibility of a cross-country move has somewhat dampened the advisability of getting started :(
mattmcl
Wow. You are indeed a lucky man- you married a female woodworker. That's my other hobby, and let me tell you, if my wife could understand the need for a $300 dado stack, life would be SO much easier for me. dargrin
I am going to have to clean it up before I take a pic of my new space.
Ironworker
This is my paint table. Not as crowded as it gets some days but pretty crowded.

She drools over miter boxes and socket wrenches. But try to explain why you need another dragon box set to her! (Actually, she doesn't like me buying dragons b/c her one player death was via black dragon )
demonelf3
Well, my posture used to suck when I painted, but now I have a big old cloth which I lay on my kitchen table and a cardboard box on top. That way I don't have to clean the table, and my neck isn;t nearly as bent. I have good light, too.
Bodhi
I use the kitchen table to, so workplace isn't much to take a picture of. Just a cupboard with drawers. I pull out what I need for a project then promptly put it back in again or me and the family have no place to eat. It also means I have to do the dishes before i can start working
Ishil
I don't have a painting station, let alone a basement. Every time I paint I have to dig out my paints, brushes and tools from where they're stored, spread them out on my bed and stand a little folding table next to my bedroom window. Pity me... Darthiir
moved into my house three years ago. . .and in true impossibles™ just unpacked the last box this year. who knew i had that much room in my cellar (basement for those not from new england). moved the old dining room table and some bureaus down for a painting surface and storage. . .instant painting station. the only problem now is the wife, "will i ever see you again?" awong
Well, here's a picture of my new painting space. My sister moved out a couple weeks ago so my dad and I are in the process of turning her room into a painting room. This is what my desk currently looks like. Ardice, your paint carousel is great! Looks like a lazy susan with stacked concentric foam disks...genius! I'm going to have to resurrect my old LS's and try that. Seems much more efficient and compact than a paintier to me. Thanks AWhang
