If the first third of Daimo was humans in those same poses, instead of Dino people, it would have sold better. 6

Even if the Dinosaurs are cool as heck, they are not very useful in most Far east campaigns (which I love) While there are some in Humans Bones already (a samurai and a Chronoscope ninja) there are more mouseling and dinosaur ninja/samurai. There are plenty existing metal sculpts which might be converted? My fear is the aparent unpopularity in Bones 5 may make an Asian expansion impossible. Frankly all we need is an encounter set with 5 or 6 non dino minis and 1 piece of terrain to fill the whole. AJ

Even if it wasn't all humans, why not have more like the Half-Orc Samurai, at least have common player races done up in Eastern themes. The Goblins were probably my favorite from the set. 4

Agreed ANY commonly played race. Right now if you want to use a bones for a ninja your choices are a mouseling, a pterasaur or a Snakeeyes clone.

Weirdly she's labeled as a Monk now:

A few good ones, some that were "meh". I think the Odyssey had better sculpts for playing with as a painter. Daimyo's dino people were cool but kinda out of place. I'm also just not that into ogre type monsters, so some of the oni weren't my cup of tea. But other Asian style characters I really like; they have interesting ghosts, reptilian monsters, trickster legends, and hero types that could be explored well.
Sylverthorne
The dino-samurai or whatever the heck almost had me not buying Daimyo too. I may be the minority that really, really doesn't like dino-people, and would be just as happy to never see one again. (I did keep the tyrannosaur-lookin' guys for Vesk minis, but... epic meh, overall.) I'm here for the dragons, and anything else is frosting.

It also suffered (in my eyes) of me just wanting the dragon from it, just like how the Greek one I only wanted the golem... I just hope that no matter what happens we aren't seeing paint shipped in the middle of winter...

Heat packs, insulated packaging, and not shipping things snail mail usually... If you HAVE to ship it. Overnight shipping in insulated packaging deals with a good portion of the problems - it can still freeze, but it's a lot less likely. Or have it sent heated freight, where the entire trailer is heated. That's how most things are handled in the perishable industry. Sadly, Reaper only offers snail mail as an option - yes they've used UPS (Expedited and/or Express Saver) in the past for shipments, but they also aren't GUARANTEEING the use of such. My Bones V order was sent Prioirty Mail, aka the second slowest method USPS offers. If it had shipped when it was supposed to, I would have had twelve bottles of frozen paint arrive.

Best bet is to send it directly to the post office or courier depot and go pick it up yourself. Or have it shipped to your workplace if it's possible. I almost never ship directly to my home address anymore. It may not be practical, but it's somewhat safer.

nearsightedgiraffe
Yup- I got Daimyo but still not sure if it was the correct call. I loved the dragon, liked the undead and the orc. The terrain was good and some of the elementals were good IMO. I felt there was just enough to bring it over the line. But yeah- it would have been great to swap out the dinos. They are a niche product that IMO distracted from the overall set. Having something like that as an add on, or in the core set where it is always a bit eclectic, is fine and fun. But it nearly put me off the set as someone who won't use any of them.
