Presenting the Wayward Mariner, this poor soul is from one of Malifauxs Special Edition sets (I think he's part of an alternate Molly crew) by Wyrd Games.

Very happy with how this one painted up, my only problem is how I've had to awkwardly wedge him in one corner of his large base to accommodate his overhanging anchor, looks weird and stupid.

As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.

Great figure (Damn, I want one now...), and great painting.

I think the placement gives it a greater sense of motion. It sort of has the feeling that he's walking along the bottom of the ocean and looking down into a deep trench. The only thing I might suggest is doing a bit more with the empty space on the base - perhaps put a shell or small sea creature in the middle. (If you put a turtle there, he could either be walking on the bottom of the ocean or be on the shore about to walk into the water.)

Thanks for comments everybody!

Glad that others like his pose, I think I'm always going to see a badly based mini though.

There is a ruined pavement behind him (That he was meant to be standing on), unfortunately he's the only one of the set that works in an underwater setting, and I like to have matching bases, so a shell is out, but I will definitely put some thought into putting something on there.
