(sad after all these years I still can't spell February on the first take, thank goodness for auto-corrupt)

C&Ped from @Corsair previous month 1st post with a couple exceptions.

Welcome to Getting to Know You, January 2022 Edition.

RULES

1. Every weekday a question will be posted. (but see rule 7 re: weekends).

2. In theory there is a 24 hour span to answer the question of the day before the next question is posted.

(But this is a frequently ignored rule; no one will delete your post if you have some catching up to do.)

3.Since I normally get out of work around 9 to 10 ish AM MST, I will try to post up questions around this time each day of the month, exception will probably be on Thursdays as I tend to hang out with my mom for a few hours each morning & she likes to get things going around 930 AM MST. Also, Sundays may be a bit delayed as that is one of my wife's days off of the week & with me working till 9ish or so I tend to wind down & talk with her for a bit (+ that is groceries for the week day here. Most likely, Sundays will be part of a weekend 2 part'r question (see 7.)

4. For other quisitors: Should I fail to post a question please wait until after the 10 hour window to post a backstop question.

5. Anyone is encouraged to suggest future questions. Please send a PM to the current or any previous Quisitor.

6. You do not have to answer every question to play. If a question feels like TMI or N/A simply wait for the next question or give a terse, concise mysterious answer.

7. Weekend questions may be formatted as two or three day quest/projects, or multi-part related questions, posted on Fridays or Saturdays.

8. I'm still debating on when my requested vacation time comes around (week of the 20th) about heading over to Bend, OR for a few days just "to get out of this god-forsaken town". I'll let someone know if I do, as I may or may not take my laptop with me for that trip.

(Note: I will wait a bit so the 1st question doesn't merge with this one.)

What is one thing you won't do when it comes to hobbies?

Get into any wargame that won't let me field a faction out of the models I already have.

I won't wait until I'm finished painting an army/game before buying another?

Apparently I won't learn to make nice bases. To the point of abandoning painting miniatures and learning to paint actual portraits 😄 I've been told I'm stubborn.

I sense a theme here.

But yeah, paying more for game accessories because of in-game value and not manufacturing cost. Or feel I have to keep buying or else I can't play anymore.

Buying paint I probably don't need. Or on the other end of the spectrum,  I'm just not a big fan of GW pots and the price so I just won't buy their paints in general.

This may sound weird for a mini painter but I won't buy more figures or models than I can reasonably store in my little hobby space. I don't ever want an entire closet full of unpainted miniatures. That just seems stressful. Thankfully, minis don't take up much space so even with getting nearly one of everything in Bones V I still have enough room for a few hundred more minis.

I tried that, entered the world of 3D printing so now I needed an extra external harddisk...

Let anyone with greasy or cheese-dusted fingers touch my minis. To be honest, I cringe or wince when anyone touches my painted minis. I worked hard on them!
