The garage is almost finished, so finding some time for hobbying again.

Decided to start assembling yet another army, US Airborne this time.

That's the first 50 bodies with mold lines removed and attached to bases.
These will be the riflemen, NCOs, SMG and BAR guys.  I'll use the prone figs for the LMG teams.
To run 4 full squads technically only needs 48 guys, but you want some variety, since you could run all rifles, or with as many SMGs, BARs, and LMGs as possible, or any combination in between.
So luckily I have another 8 sprues (5 guys plus a prone one on each) so another 40 bodies to go there, but I'll probably start arming (and heading) these guys first.

Managed to get eleven armed and headed last night during D&D, all with rifles.

They still need their kit, which I can poke away at.
Up next will be  pair of NCOs (rifle and SMG versions), 4 with SMGs, 1 BAR,  and 2 LMGs with loaders (I'm doing them on larger bases as a 2 man team).
That will give me all the options for a US Paratrooper Squad (Late War) and also more than covers the early squad as they can't have a BAR or a 2nd LMG.

Have a "lovely" 1 hour conference call over my lunch break.......

Gave me time to put some kit on the first 11 gues:

And throw together 2 NCOs.  One with an SMG and one with a Rifle.

Not a whole lot of good NCO arms (I like my NCOs doing something, makes them easier to pick out) so I grabbed Rangers, Marines and Army infantry box sets from the storage room and I'm going to see what all they have in there that might work, to mix it up a bit.
The other thing I find missing is are guns without arms, that you could sling or have laying beside them. Limits what you can do.  There is a right hand holding a pistol, but if you use it you have no way of giving them their rifle or smg. And they have a great pair of arms holding binoculars, but again, no gun to put with them. See what I can scrounge from other sets.

Still have a stupid cough over week after getting sick, so I stuck with assembly during the very long live stream that The Terrain Studio did yesterday.

Got another 40 US Airborne assembled.

Just need to do 11 more riflemen and 1 more LMG team to have all options for 3 squads.  Which likely gives me more than enough as these guys are expensive to field.

Yesterday I got another 11 riflemen put together, to complete the 3 squads, except for 1 LMG team that I need to find a larger base for.

I also started on the metals from the starter box.  2 officers and medic and a radio guy done.

Still have to put together a medium mortar, and HMG team and a 57mm anti-tank gun.

Then see what else I have for these guys.

Well, I got the mortar together, but my super glue is garbage now, way too thick and stringy. I've been putting off getting new hoping the FLGS would get more of my usual in but they are having trouble getting any in.

So I'll hold off on more metal assembly until I can get out and grab some new glue.  Not today, since pretty much everything is closed here.

So time to see what vehicles I have available:

That's pretty much what was in my US pile (not specifically Airborne).

The Pershing will need to wait as that is a resin and metal kit.  I've already got one Sherman built from when I was building British, so I'll start with the Greyhound and then the transports.

Work continues on the Greyhound.

Just the turret left to finish.  I had half an hour or so tonight.  Would have got a little further but I spent a good 10 minutes down on the floor searching for a piece of the main gun that tried to escape.
