That is allot of airbrushing. I really need to get my setup going again. I think I'm close to 2 years since I had paint flow through a 'brush...jeesh.

Is your booth, one of those folding, pop-up ones? If so, have you sprayed harsher paints like lacquers in it? How did it do?

It is, although mine has been setup for a couple years straight now, so now sure how well it would fold up anymore.
It works pretty well for acrylics (the AP Air leaves almost no smell, which is really nice).  I've used rattle cans with it a couple of times when I needed something urgently but the weather wasn't cooperating.  That smell lingers so I try to do anything like that when I'm not going to be in the room for a while.  I currently don't have mine vented outside, although I should go back and look at that since the AC install is now pretty permanent, so I could just vent beside that......
I have the 2 filters in and it seems to handle everything pretty well.  I do have a separate air scrubber that I got more for resin printing, but it does a good job taking out any lingering air brush smells as well.

Good news. One of the scale model guys I follow on youtube uses 2 of these side by side (or at least I think it, I mean you can see the common components of it) & he uses lacquers through his airbrush all the time. I mainly need to clean up the area I wanna put this in or just use it in the garage with the door open.

Well Tank War was a bust.....  my dice rolled worse than I think I've ever seen for an entire game...consistently 1 lower than the target number for attack after attack.  And if I happened to hit, I failed the damage roll.

Blah.  Frustrating after putting so much work into getting everything assembled and base coated......

Took a little break, mostly due to having a crap week on call.
But I have a 5 day weekend starting today (was supposed to be visiting my folks and going to the track, but Covid finally hit the household....) so hobbying!

Today will be all assembly, mostly Konflikt '47 since I got a bunch of units in yesterday.

But first we start with a normal Bolt Action unit of veteran grenadiers.

20220602_IMG_2986.jpg.95f1e665c4698917f432d7e36cb1fc10.jpg

Last week I was talking about needing to put together a unit of veterans with all assault rifles during BA night.  Went downstairs to get a pop and noticed they had a box of metal veterans all with assault rifles, so grabbed that.

Since the heads that came included 3 with field caps, and I only use field caps to denote the NCO, I subbed in a couple of spare heads off the normal plastic sprues.

Then on to K47.

20220602_IMG_2987.jpg.7054ae7f48ca2d46cfc8ffad61f4b0c6.jpg

A unit of Schreckwulfen, basically werewolves, but created through "rift-tech",

I just have one arm left to put on.  I felt it needed a pin.  The guy with a separate gas mask (odd place to split a fig) will need some putty work.

I expect I'll do some more later (it's lunch time).  And I should get back to cleaning up all the flash on those rockets for the Stuka zu Fuss  in the background too.....

Afternoon work.  I pinned that arm on the werewolf, but didn't bother with a pic.

This is the Hauptmann Heinrich Gross pack.  It's a special unit, that goes in the higher command slot.

Consists of Gross, front right, Flount, a specialist medic, middle back, Deitner, sniper, on the left, and two SS Shocktroopers for body guards.

20220602_IMG_2997.jpg.f9ddf12fae792de8751278ce29063fbc.jpg

And then a unit of 10 Waffen-SS Shocktroopers.  100% in gas masks with IR goggles, so faces should be pretty quick on these guys......

Time for a break, I started getting the dropsies trying to get the SMGs on the last couple Shocktroopers.....

More assembly today.  I'm feeling pretty crappy but assembling minis is a good distraction.

20220603_IMG_2999.jpg.0728d369184f2ee26baa3a62428a5b2e.jpg

First up the Fallschirmjager Falcon Infantry.  These guys have advanced armor and Grav-packs, which give them flight.

20220603_IMG_3003.jpg.7850979ad18596ea8f1056192505a64e.jpg

And then the heavy armoured platoon officer.  One of the troopers with him can even take a Panzerfaust.  As they use the same backpacks as the regular heavies, I magnetized his the same way.

Currently waiting for glue to dry on a Flammspinne Light Panzermech, the flamethrower version of the light spidermech .  I'll post pics later.

Feeling pretty crappy today, but did get a unit of heavy infantry assembled over a few fairly short sessions.

20220604_IMG_3010.jpg.336600e701dbf267cabcb5b25b4e685c.jpg

As with the previous I magnetized two of them so I could swap the panzerfaust backpacks to shoe that the panzerfaust has been used.

Finished assembly of the last box of Heavy Infantry.

20220605_IMG_3013.jpg.ef292ff8251993e910ac876c78665b77.jpg

Now to assemble 3 packs of 2 light machine gunners for the Heavy Infantry.

20220605_IMG_3015.jpg.d6a6977f870d875745e65ef4a27e21fc.jpg

This will give me enough to field 4 units of Heavy Infantry with LMGs, or 3 units without.

Still feeling pretty lousy, but got the LMG Heavy Infantry assembled.

I've just got a couple more Nachtjagers left to assembly for K47 (and go back an ping the first two's wings, since once snapped off the only time I tried playing them).

I'll probably work on them this afternoon if I have the energy.

Last couple days have been a bit rough.  Apparently my crap respiratory system isn't doing a very good job of getting rid of Covid.  Slowly improving now I think, with the help of a anti-inflammatory inhaler.
Due to that my energy level has been non-existent for a couple day. A little better today, so I did manage to finish pinning the 2 units of Nachtjagers together.

That exhausts my supply of Konflikt '47 figs, so I'm looking at German Pioniers (Engineers).  An interesting box as it comes with spues of Blitzkreig German Infantry and then a couple of baggies of metal bits to make them engineers.
I need to figure out what I should be building out of the box.

      Let's get meta!!

"Now where were we...let's see. Last session you had crashed Miss Minver's jalopy in the cemetery in your attempt to stop the cult. The Professor's apotropaic rituals and Xiufang's first-aid skills kept you alive while Sirhan's Vickers gun and Lady Rutherford's etheric disruptor devastated the cultists--but not before the high priest's chanting reached a crescendo! An awful rift forms in the fabric of reality, swirling with colors beyond human description--and from it, with a horrible squelching sound and a smell like an electrical fire in an aquarium, a forest of loathsome ichor-slicked tendrils protrude, flailing hungrily towards you! Roll for Sanity!"

50231 is brilliant, containing three flavors of tabletop geek. These are wonderful sculpts, from the dice bag on the trim GM to the soda in the large gamer's meaty hand to the young lady's minifig case. I feel like I know these people already.

      More pics:

A furnished basement, much like many others. Shelves of books and trinkets on the wall, a table with a map and several figurines atop it. BUT! this basement is about to become an escape to other, weirder, more adventurous realities!

You know the Nerd from 50091 will be here, maybe the Chick too. Not-Velma most definitely would roll some polyhedral dice.

Perhaps on an alternate week, another game:

"The scent of mildew and rock dust is heavy in the air, and the sound of dripping water echoes from somewhere nearby. You would guess Saraneth's sorcerous witch-light, glinting off crystals the size of tree trunks, is the first illumination these caverns have seen since they were formed in the primeval chaos. --Liliander, your elven senses pick up faint movement from beyond this cluster of stalactites--a dark-dwarf ambuscade! Between Red Serris's sword and Ulma's bombs, this shouldn't be much trouble. ...But wait! Vistaril, as the reverberations of your thunderwave subside, they are answered by another...deeper...rumble--coming from below! Everyone make a Dexterity save!"

I had a day off yesterday and wanted to get some work done toward staging an Original D&D game sometime “soon”. I’m working on a handful of potential PCs, but wanted to get a couple of smaller monsters done. These have all been sitting around in primer for a long time and I’m tired of looking at them. So…drybrush the heck out of them and call it a day.

The figures are all Ral Partha, two trolls (01-063), three skeletons (01-046), two wraiths (01-030), and a small carnosaur (13-004, an erythrosuchus to be exact).

Biker boxed set for Project Z. Turns out the client was missing some sprues when he sent me these, and I was wondering why the box said you could build eight figures yet I only had six torsos?!  Was also missing the foot bases, so I used Reaper ones instead.  The sculptor want a little heavy on the cheesecake factor for the ladies.  I can't imagine trying to ride a motorcycle in a thong!  😲  I'm now working on the "boss" biker with the gatling gun on the handlebars and another biker with a passenger toting a bazooka.. Painted to tabletop/demo standard.  Primarily painted with Pro Acryl except Vallejo for the metallics and Reaper for the flesh.

Male Survivors kit from Warlord Games. Painted to tabletop standard, mostly with Pro Acryl.

Female survivors from Warlord Games "Project Z" game.  Nice kit with a good diversity in body types and choices for each figure.  Had fun assembling and painting them. All painted to a "three foot fabulous" tabletop standard. Painted primarily with Pro Acryl paints except for Reaper for the flesh and an assortment of brands for the metallics.
