Super Jag
So... where does my lowly ex-national guard puke, biomedical technician, left hand saluting, wanna-be salvation army officer, role fit into this equation?

abngi
biomedical technician 35G or 91A? Anyway, so as not to continue the rampant hijacking... Reaper should invite several non-BL members to the testing, to insure that institutional knowledge is not putting a slant on the format or glossing over information that "everyone knows". Super Administrators kit Posted September 8, 2004 Super Administrators Share Posted September 8, 2004 Reaper should invite several non-BL members to the testing, to insure that institutional knowledge is not putting a slant on the format or glossing over information that "everyone knows". It's launching with WarlordHQ, so intimate knowledge of CAV won't be of too much help. However, the suggestion is sound. I was thinking about opening it up to some forum people as well who are not in BL, but have an interest in Warlord. All of the bells and whistles won't be there, like a full instruction manual and themed interface, but this is a really exciting project all the same. Like the Almost Real-Time Balance of Power Map. That's fun. kit
Super Jag
QUOTE (Super Jag @ Sep 8 2004, 02:16 AM) biomedical technician 35G or 91A? Actually, I'm rated as a Super G or technically my m.o.s. was 35U (if memory serves me correctly. I had both the 38 week and advanced 30 week technical schools. 91A sounds familiar... isn't that more of a hands on patient m.o.s.? I'd swear 91A's were training at my same location of Club Fitzsimons, Aurora, Colorado (a 1 square mile post outside of Denver which 1/4 of was a golf course and we had no drill seargents, and soldiers actually got away with left handed saluting, and... well, you get the picture). With regards to who should be invited to playtest (IMHO) the real concern comes down to (as you implied) the fact that many of us have difficulty remembering the difference between "personal" opinion and the ability to give unbiased feedback. Hopefully Reaper peeps have ascertained by now who that is (and personally I hope I have earned that privelege).
shakhak
I was thinking about opening it up to some forum people as well who are not in BL, but have an interest in Warlord. interest... How about obsesion? In all seriousness that would be really cool. I think it's cool that the BL get to test it out.

True. However, they also should include people with absolutely no background with Warlord, to see how a newbie would perceive the information. ***Off topic*** 91A sounds familiar... All 91As (medic) joined 91B (field medic)about 10 (IIRC) years ago; 35G transitioned to 91A, and 35U went away. The advenced course no longer exists; the BioMed course is now tri-service instead of just Army/Navy, and is held at Sheppard AFB (Fitzsimons Army Medical Center is now a campus and civilian housing). My oh my how things have changed since the summer of 1992 when I graduated the U course. Thanks for the FYI, that's interesting to know. I do recall that Fitz was slotted for either closure or very limited military usage (or something like that). Gosh, I'll have to dig up my old Army photos and such and reminisce about my time there. Brings back lot's of memories.
rowdymon
True. However, they also should include people with absolutely no background with Warlord, to see how a newbie would perceive the information. Laugh...not all the BL's are versed at all in Warlords.. Some of us have yet to play the game (Honestly I'll be rectifying this situation as soon as humanly possible...I swear) I'm sure they'll figure it all out and get invites out as they can... Spartan6
91B's transitioned to 91W's a year or so ago. The Army wanted all our medics to be the equal of civilian EMT's.

Some of us have yet to play the game Oh how embarrasingly true this is... Personally I didn't have time to keep up with beta testing of Warlord and figured that when the game ACTUALLY was finalized that I'd only have one set of rules to learn (as opposed to being confused with "experimental" rules. Soon... soon... I will have my Warlord and be able to play it too.
Ech'Estar
I dont mean to interupt, but this thread is getting way off topic, lol. Personally, I'd love to try out the new website! I'd also love to become a Black Lightning member since there aren't any here in Glendale Arizona, but the requirements for joining state that you have to be 18 or older! I guess I've given up hope of having an official demo and organized play team in my area. Nik...who needs five more years...
Stubbdog
I admit, I don't care a bit about the Warlord part of it. I am waiting for the CAV induction into it. But, having said that... The idea of an "almost real time balance of power map" definitely catches my attention. I guess it would be too much to ask for more details. And ask whether something similar will be included on the CAV side of things...?
