Great Khan Artist
As for iconic words of wisdom for my fellow Martians: "What do you mean there's no return ticket?" 4 March: Voyager famously sent a golden record into space. Self destruct device powerful enough to destroy the thing as soon as it hits the heliopause. Attracting other life to earth is a bad idea until we can travel between stars ourselves. 5

A detailed list of reasons to stay away, starting with, we barely like members of our own species, why do you think we’d like you? And ending with, no matter how weird you look, someone is gonna want to…. Eh-hem, “know” you. In the biblical sense. Humans are weird. 5

I'm also not keen on giving info about humanity to a potentially hostile alien species when we can barely get off the planet ourselves. So how about this... we include detailed instructions on how to get to earth. Except we actually give them directions to some other observable star system with the potential for a planet that can support life. Then we just a point a satellite or telescope at that system and see if anything happens. If that star goes nova or something in the next couple of centuries then we know to keep quiet. 3

Let the space aliens think the Moon is [a] camouflaged, 2000 mile diameter, Battlecruiser controlled by a sentient AI that has been guarding Earth for 20,000 years. That is a way better idea than giving them a map to come find us. Edited March 5, 2022 by TGP 8

Which braindead amoebe decided to disclose our position and physical composition to the possible Borg/Tyrannids or similar predators...first seek them out, decide if they're a threat or not and then agree with the rest of Earth's population IF we should make contact. Great Khan Artist
We will take a brief diversion, as the pilot seems to have struck the Ship of the Imagination and is in an insurance dispute with Neal deGrasse Tyson. (RE: I know we have a Bones wishlist thread, quests are hard!) I really enjoyed Miniature Monday, and thought the encounters were clever. For those of you who don't know, Josh would usually pick 4 minis, 2 human sized, 1 monster and 1 human sized metal. They usually had a theme, like underwater or desert. The Encounter Sets from Bones 5 also proved to be popular. They have one large terrain piece, and an assortment of minis. Weekend Quest: Design a themed Encounter Set for a Bones kickstarter.

Any aliens finding it will never invade because they'll simultaneously be too busy trying to puzzle it out and also be too terrified to attack anyone who is capable of of such utterly complex technology.

I'm thinking goblinoid pirates, and calling it All About the Boom. One cackling goblin with the classic pirate grenade in each hand. One bugbear with a cutlass and a heavy blunderbuss in the other. A metal canon with a two goblin crew. One hobgoblin with a cutlass on its hip and a flintlock in each hand. And I want the goblins to be Gremlins-looking style.
