Hi 

I realize this is super late in the game, but I had a question about pledging;

 

If I want something that hasn't unlocked yet, and add to my pledge amount (say the anniversary dragon); but then it doesn't unlock at the end.  What happens then?

 

I thought I wanted the 2nd paint set, and added +$18 to my pledge. But in the pledge manager, the 2nd set was not an option (though I haven't checked since it's unlocked).  So that confused me.  Because I was able to "check" in the pledge manager for the anniversary dragon before it unlocked.

I can not speak in any kind of certainty, but historically Reaper does not leave highly anticipated kickstarter items hanging and have unlocked them in the pledge manager post-campaign. They have also been moving things around to make them closer to sure things because they know people get worried toward the end of the campaign.

 

What you are using currently is the pledge calculator, it is not actually the pledge manager yet. The pledge calculator is just meant to help you calculate total and nothing you pick is locked in as you must purchase it. All of the unlocked items will definitely be available in the pledge manager.

Update #63: Reaper Pledge Manager is Coming Soon!

We're still in the process of:

• Collecting data from late backers, declined pledges, and folks who missed the campaign
• Finishing the sculpting (2D to 3D, cutting sculpts up, making sure sculpts are the correct size, etc)
• Finalizing the Reaper Pledge Manager

That said, the new Reaper Pledge Manager is *almost* ready. There are just a few nagging technical issues that are keeping us from launching. We're hoping to have it ready by the end of this week, but, we will absolutely let everyone know via Kickstarter updates when it launches.

 

We will also begin our regular updates starting this Friday, June 3. Then, every first and third Friday of every month we'll make a Kickstarter update with any news worth reporting no matter if it's good news, bad news, or no news at all. We're committed to keeping our backers updated, and this will be the official communication platform for Bones 6.

Pledge Manager Update:

This weekend Kit (our IT guru) will be sending out a sample of Pledge Manager invites to stress test the new Pledge Manager.  If you are selected, please provide feedback.

 

 

Shipping Update:

 

We have incorporated some new changes that were made in both recent Kickstarters. Primarily:

 

- Actual shipping costs will be determined. In the past, we used a prepaid estimate system that led to both over-and undercharging of shipping.

 

- International shipments will be able to pay all VAT, GST, and Duties at the time you pay your Kickstarter shipping.  This will allow your package to swiftly move through customs and to your door.

 

 

Production Update:

In the area of production. We are down to 17 models that are in their last steps of preparation before going off to pre-production. 

 

 

FYI, final preparation is simply a process we use to check scale, part thickness, proper pose, detail depth, and several other little facets that will help make sure that we get what we are expecting to get. 

 

For a 3d print model, we will print at least one copy for scale on a low-resolution machine. If there are details that did not translate correctly in the low-resolution model or concerns about sword thickness or hair and facial details we will print a second copy on a high-resolution machine to make sure all is in good order.  

 

For a hand-sculpted piece we check for joint and attachment integrity (Are the feet pinned to the base, is the area between the feet and the base filled in properly.) Weapon and thin areas are all measured to ensure they hit minimums. (the bottom of a cape flipping up in the wind)

 

So not much to show visually, but we will get to the fun stuff later.
