Popular Post Glitterwolf
I-Lovecraft Design from the Treasure Island Kickstarter. Captain Smollet. Part of my Lost World Project and also the Vampire Coast Army WIP's Here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-army-of-the-lost-world-xherman1964-paints-coldblooded-creatures/ https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/97971-vampire-coast-army-and-other-pirates/ ******************** After being recruited by Bloody Bess he had sailed many seas and seen many places, but this place? The bones of strange huge animals, the vegetation, the strange idols and ruins? This was something else. Captain Smollet had a bad feeling about this. According to the tales there was a huge treasure to be found here, he was no coward, he knew there would be dangers, but this time was different. He had noticed some footprints that made him wonder if his pistol and sword would be enough, something big lived in this jungle. Something really really big. ********************* 29

Iridil
The real question is: how does he keep all that white so clean? Great job and full of character 1

Oh, he's really careful not to get blood on his clothing, he prefers to shoot the enemy from a distance.

Poilu_1914
Great figure, nice to see proper buckle shoes rather than cavalry boots! Mixed emotions, though, not a pirate! 1
Grand Slam
Treasure Island has always been one of my all-time favorite books, and this really brings Captain Smollet to life! My only suggestion would be to hit the white areas with a pale gray wash (if you have one handy). A black wash would be a bit too extreme in this case, but a light gray wash with some white highlights could bring out some more of those sculpted details. Really cool mini. 1

Well if you read my story in my Lost World Project about this guy you'll see he has chosen the path of piracy after all. 2 hours ago, Grand Slam said: Treasure Island has always been one of my all-time favorite books, and this really brings Captain Smollet to life! Thanks and good advice.I already varnished the guy, but I will do this with the next white uniform. I actually did it on his wig, but it doesn't show much.
