I don't even bother trying to speculate about what's going on; like you said, they've done this a few times before, so I'm pretty sure they know what they're doing. This isn't my first show, but I'm still enjoying seeing what we've already achieved as well as what's still around the corner.

Hmm I also just realised that Daffodil's, Lily's and Daisy's skirts are each inspired by the flower they are named after.  That is a nice touch. I am not sure what the spheres on Daffodil's wings are. They are too perfect to be dew drops and their positioning makes me thing of the circles in butterfly wings, but they don't fit that with their protruding nature.

The teaser looks interesting. A devil or gargoyle.

They are inspired by the circles in certain moth wings.   She wanted to add a dimensional difference to that detail from the rest, so it would give people cool options for painting them as eyes,  moth eyes, or w/e and give more versatility of painting with the raised surface instead of a recess.  She thought the recess would be much harder to paint.

They really need to communicate the size of Shimmerscale better. The graphic really doesn't do it justice. There seems to be enough space that they could scale it up to be more in line with what it is in relation to the other minis. Maybe when they add a green/render of the Alicorn.

The GKA buying guide to Reaper minis: "I hope they show more of the Hakir set. I really need to know if they are releasing horsemen in this set because I need 4 for the upcoming Stargrave release (that I plan to use in Sandgrave)." "Oh, it's 2 years until fulfillment." "I do really like those old Khamsin raiders..." "Will I still want to paint this in 2 years time? Heck yes."

How about a mini for "Let Me Solo Her"  This is pretty much straight aweimage.png.b758f8c2db311da1fcc129bccd23af82.pngsomeness.

That's awesome

I just heard of him yesterday.  Could have used that help on Malekith.  43 attempts or so... finally got him today   kinda lucky but I'll take it (solo no summons -- I tried summons but I still got rocked so didn't help much)

I suggested earlier that maybe there should be multiple core sets, but after much contemplation I have a different idea.  Have a core set that is just new and exotic creatures, perhaps selling for a little less than the $125, but also have a basic set available from the beginning that is more of a "starter" set: orcs, goblins, adventurers, basic undead, rats, spiders, etc.

Sorta same ditto! The core would appeal to new miniature collectors, and would be pretty self-contained for most RPG's and miniatures. Previous cores reprinted existing miniatures, so reprints would be okay. Reaper could even partner with an RPG or miniature wargame company for an adventure that used most of the miniatures. Reaper did have a Fan Favorite expansion, and an expansion of miniatures that didn't fit into other add-ons could be a separate core set (or whatever) of miniatures for the veterans. Another poster suggested Reaper have more Bones KS, with less content, with more focus. : Pirates (Pirate Ship, Dreadmere, Brinewind, Dark Depths), Horror (Graveyard, Sullenhall, Horror), Cthulhu (various), Chronoscope (wouldn't need a core set), Hell (Demons and Devils, Stygian Barge), terrain, and even texture stamps. Again, reprints (as separate add-ons) would be fine with me.

Again, this assumes future Bones KS. SioCast may overtake or co-exist with plastic because it doesn't need expensive steel molds, overseas manufacturing, and large quantities; and metal since it's less expensive (or at least metal prices are rising). (Minions sell in greater quantities than personalities and repeats are okay, so I guess would be better for steel molds, while personalities may be better for SioCast or even 3D print programs.)

Just had a gooooood, loooonngg look at the spin round of Chaarondar. Don't like the big sticky-up pointy things on the shoulders and hips, so would have to do some surgery there. BUt really loving the crocodillian back side scale patterns. I dont't think that I have seen a dragon like that before. Though with some many bones dragons around here (some of which I almost forgotten what they look like (heretic!)) and other dragons it would be easy to not remember that sort of look.

So really looks like I'm going to be in for another dragon (you can never have too many dragons), and the briarwood stuff (really liking the dragons in there)

Im really hoping the Khamsin figured make the jump. They have such a fantastic look and are perfect for skirmish games or other unit-based encounters. I know I've been eyeing them for use as masked cultists in Rangers of Shadow Deep.

I was not even aware of the Khamsin figures until now.  Adding them would probably make whatever expansion or add-on they're in a must buy for me.

I had never noticed them either.  But now I am trying to figure out why the "Khamsin sorcerer" (https://www.reapermini.com/search/khamsin/latest/14350) is also one of the "Khamsin Herdsmen" (https://www.reapermini.com/search/khamsin/latest/06141).  Maybe the sorcerers generally do the herding.  Hmm...

It is a weird choice.  They picked individual models to also package as heroes from all the Warlord regiments, but nothing really says Sorcerer on that one to me.

One of my favorite Khamsin models is easy to miss as he's not tagged with "khamisn."
This guy works perfectly as a hero or captain for the other masked units.  Note the helmet he's holding.

Oh, he's nice.  I don't mind picking him up in metal if we can get the Herders and Rangers in Bones.
