And there is where my concern lies. I'd like Denizens to grow big and inclusive, but 2nd and 3rd installment are so far out and has not been revealed. Therefore, that expansion might remain small. It is still good value though.

I have pledged all my budget allows and then some already, so now it is up to the rest of you guys. 

 

Oh,and note to Reaper: Glitterwing does not need 4" base. Sized for 3" is perfect!

I do seem to prefer smaller dragons, but I can see a lot of people being angry in the kickstarter if such a change isn't communicated well. And I see some possible 3D printer people being angry because small sized dragons they can print easily, but large ones are a pain. So I do believe they should keep the 4 inch base. 

 

Also since no one mentioned this is the next revealed add on to the core set.

Sister Arani looks interesting. Wonder how close the sculpt will be.

If you're really concerned about your pledge, just pledge the minimum to get access to the pledge manager & then when your sure it'll actually come out pledge the remaining amount.

 

Like.most on here have said thou, Reaper in the past has unlocked everything shown in the PM. Thou with the no break up of thr Core (minis ants) this might change this time.

I don't think 3D printer people are angry as such. It just means that Reaper are leaving money on the table. Personally I'm disappointed as the big dragons and other monsters are really what I was most interested in for this Kickstarter.

Really, there just hasn't been a lot to offer those of us that have enough of the basic mini types and want something different and interesting 

 

It's a bit ironic. We don't want to pledge for the core because we already have lots and lots of basic minis, so we are here for add ons

 

Except....the add ons...are completely basic minis we don't need more of. There is nothing 'new' for the add ons

 

Chibis. Orcs. Gnolls. Hellborn. Paint. We have seem these each and every Kickstarter, so we don't even have add ons to be excited about 

 

Just a bit funny In a sad way, to me haha. That I'm here to cherry pick new and exciting things to paint, but even the add on selection is more repetitive mini types we have seem every Kickstarter.

 

I miss interesting things like the siege equipment or other fascinating new minis they had like in the last one

AFAIR, Big minis are made from bones white and produced in China. I guess they are trying to play it safe with current state of world affairs.

They are making investments in moving production to US, so probably large minis production needs to be sorted out first.

Ultimately, Reaper is not trying to keep figures from us.  In most, or many cases I would think, they have hired/paid sculptors already for the sculpts. So they don't want to invest in preparing stuff and then not have it go to market. So, I'm pretty sure Reaper will do everything they can to get us all the parts of the currently revealed expansions, even if that means unlocking the rest via the Pledge Manager.  

 

Didn't they already make a statement to that effect, that they might be doing Pledge Manager unlocks this time?

That may be the case but it also means they will have to be prepared to take the hit on this Kickstarter, and what it could mean for all the follow ons.

After all if they have a substantially smaller turnout this time it could weaken future KS's as well.  

 

Reputation matters.  Reaper has garnered a reputation for Large Unique sets and individual figures.  If they begin a regression they may keep shrinking afterword.  It is often just how things work in any industry.
