  • Prior to Reaper Live last night I have watched Crow's Nest and apart from the 30th anniversary dragon, there was following piece shown:

    image.png.0a55f314eb16b660a149431a61133006.png

Apparently it is part of Green Griffon expansion. It seems to be holding some sort of fiddle. Just my opinion it was not stated. It is sculpted by Christine Van Patten.

Another sort of reveal were bugbears painted by Michael Proctor (partially during the show). There is going to be one more female bugbear in the pack for sure and potentially one more magic user bugbearrof some kind depending on the time. I believe those were sculpted by Bobby Jackson.

The tavern patrons are cool.

Very good for diorama builders and as set dressing for the tavern brawl to remind the mage that maybe casting fireball isn't a good idea.

I'll take 'em. Chibis are good for 'I forgot my mini again, can I just use one of yours'? situations.

Sure! Lemme grab a chibi.. what'd you say your character was? Fighter? No problem...

I admit, I also like the chibi-dragon; that came out well, imo. Be interesting to see if the real thing renders out as well..

I have the DHL metal dwarf in the thong for this situation. ^_^

@Froggy the Great converted him to the naughty tooth fairy or something a few years back.

Kind of disappointed that the rooster is taking up a familiar space. There are so many normal rooster miniature. At least make him be eating a mouse whole or something. That may have something with me painting a non insignificant amount of chickens in my miniature painting career. (Pegasus hobbies farm set, Eureka miniature farm set, Tamiya livestock set {even thought its 1/35 it still works for 28mm giant chicken breeds}, Rising Sun chicken on god). And seeing a lot more chickens in historic metal sets.

Sitting tavern patrons.  Note that the chairs are separate (and might be in a separate add-on? That part was unclear.)

Hmm. I don't know why my first thought was Onufry Zagłoba. Probably just the moustache and chubby face at that scale. Sitting figures are always welcome.

Genius! What model is that? The closes I could find was Azrin, but that's not a thong. Sadly there doesn't seem to be any dwarves wearing Australian thongs either. And the conversion photos seem to be lost. Edit: Found it on deviant art, still not sure about the base mini.

I like the seated patrons and the chibis and the familiar. The paint set seems good, but I have most of those colors still (the toddler has spilled other stuff,  thankfully mostly craft paint). And not k owing when fulfillment is means paint is no go. Also no osy carries reaper paints locally anymore so...

Well, kind of aggravated, I should have gone ahead and ordered the Chronoscope last KS but didn't want the zombies. Now, it looks like I could have used them.

When Zombicide Invaders was being funded I had zero interest in it since i dont' play sci-fi games.

Of course my buddy decided to start running a Starfinder game not too longer afterwards.

Great to see Pathfidner with Reaper.

Pass on the Chibis.  They have an audience but it ain't me.

I could've swore I saw a 3-stage barbarian somewhere as well for the upcoming KS.  If there are a lot of those I'm doomed.  I absolutely loved the three stage characters from Ral Partha back in the day.

Dragon will be a buy.

Paint?  I got two thin coats coming in plus speedpaints.  Not sure if I need more 'random' paints.  I liked the old triad system.

The triad system is a great concept, but Anne has explained that trying to expand the system to more triads became increasingly difficult as the line grew.  And I imagine since they like to discontinue paints that don't sell well enough and like to make new paints, it means some of the triads are being broken.  Sad thing.

Yes. They did preview a 3 stage barbarian months ago. I suspect we will see a group of 3 stage characters in Bones 6. I have a a few of Ral Partha minis myself.

Oh agreed.  The triads have been dead for a while.  I've been picking up the sets mainly on momentum and to support Reaper but that's getting kinda thin now.  It might be different if Reaper had a painting channel where they showcased how they are using all these paints.  I appreciate that sometimes on the Twitch show they do some painting but I'm talking like a dedicated Warhammer channel.  Duncan Rhodes didn't just start his own bit he came out of it after a long time of showcasing how to use GW paints in various combos.

The chibi figures, like the mouselings, pizza dragon, and the baby dragons, were popular "stocking stuffer" gifts for my sister and her gaming group.  I think I might do the Pathfinder chibis for more gifts.

There was a story somewhere - the introduction to "Goblins of Golarion", I think - where the Paizo people talked about the inspiration for their goblins:  someone had a Nerf basketball or a sponge of some sort (I believe), which they idly folded over into an American football shape with what looked like a big, creepy smile.  This designer played with this smiling foam ball, like a hand-puppet, giving it a mischievous personality and a shrill, raspy, sing-song voice that they imagined whispering the designer's name from the shadows under a childhood bed or in a dark closet, and the weird, large-headed, grinning, creepy-cute, prankish, singing Pathfinder goblins were born.  They're one of the iconic creations for the brand, and one of my favorite parts of the setting - I think I'd gladly give away most of the handful of Pathfinder books in my library, but not the "We Be Goblins" series or the other goblin-related books ("Goblins of Golarion", "Classic Monsters Revisited", etc.)  Glad to see Paizo and Reaper partnering together again, I have a feeling the chibi goblins and heroes are going to be popular with Pathfinder's fans.

The sitting tavern patrons have made it into Bones 6, too?  That one has been a recurring fan request for years now, and that makes several requests to appear so far (the halfling on the dragon, swamp shambler, stirges, gnomes, and apparently a fae expansion....)  I think the Reaper folks are surely poring through the "Bones You Would Like to See" threads with a fine-toothed comb, looking for ideas, and catching a lot of the most popular long-running requests!
