Christine van Patten, apparently working on the Green Griffin extras:

Dwarf or just a stocky human? I like her thou. Enough to get GG, nah. Out of all the expansions that one is a flat no for me right now. Too many things I can print out already + the people minis are eh, ok.

Half-orc is my guess. I will call her Pinky Tuskadero.

Half-Orc I'm thinking, looks like tusks and pointed ears.

Ok, now that I can see the pic a little bit bigger, I can see those. Looks great otherwise.

Look at it this way, with the 2 year wait. Reaper can always use Bones USA for patron minis. Build up the tavern, while everyone waits for the expansion.

Well this should be outside the expansion in the Green Griffin extras add on.. so maybe there will be more there you want?

@Guindyloo would be all over that in seconds. ::D:

I dunno. I'm not reading the itty-bitty flavor text and probably not the only one going by pics only.

Flavor text?

--- edit ---

Wow. I didn't even notice there were words. I had tunnel vision just looking at the minis. Sheesh. O__o

I mentioned during yesterday's twitch stream that I'd like to see Reaper do smaller, more focused Kickstarters going forward, and Ed replied back that's the direction they want to go as well.  Sadly, he did not confirm (nor deny) that could mean a Chronoscope KS.

I've actually been wondering if Reaper weren't trying to reign in this KS a bit to try to keep things around a specific dollar amount.

One of the problems with wildly successful Kickstarters is that the behind the scenes operations don't scale well beyond a certain point, and things get expensive after that.  You'll eventually get to a point where you can improve your resources (labor, space, equipment, etc.) and that will start working back to your efficiencies again, but you don't want to be caught too far above or below those sweet spots.

Logistics is a good reason to aim for smaller Kickstarters. Honestly, if that's what they wanted with this one, I think that is reasonable to say up front. It is easier to manage space and people and time with less items to juggle, then do it again in a few months. Not sure how that jives with the shipping from China, but on their end it is very understandable.

I have always been confused (and in previous Bones KS) as to what this bizzarre fascination with a children's tv character is all about....

fatherflump.jpg.833bbf893a25cf98f00dd6aa3489d619.jpg

So finally got around to looking it up, and find that the TV characters are Flumps....not Flumphs!   mea culpa.  Turns out they are interesting flying jelly fish things?

Indeed they are, in fact in the AD&D 1st Edition Fiend Folio they were the only Lawful Good creatures in the entire book. to quote 1D4chan, "Pathfinder may have started it, with its "Misfit Monsters Redeemed" splat, where it answered the question "why are Flumphs Lawful Good" by making them a race of world-travelling crusaders against evil aberrations and cosmic horrors. Yeah, that's right, the goofy space-jellyfish is basically a star-faring Paladin that wants to defeat Cthulhu, and just has to recruit adventurers for the job because it's still... well, hilariously weak by comparison."

They hold a special place in my heart because they're very selfless creatures, who sacrifice their own gains so that others may live safer lives.

Love her! Head canon makes her the big sister of the half-orc doxy from Brinewind that left home to become an adventurer.

I loved the Half-Orc Doxy, my only issue was I felt she was scaled a little small.  I'm hoping her sister doesn't have the same issue.

I think this is the kind of model a lot of people were asking for. The pose is fun and dynamic and it will add good energy to any scene or tabletop. I'm pledging for this and hope we'll see more like it.

Totally agree with both of you.

I know when I looked into doing my own Kickstarter, I realized early on as I was running the numbers that there was a certain point at which success would create more problems than the money could easily solve.  And that was just for something that was basically just a deck of cards.
