Those are really great little figures. But.... still not enough to make me go for the core set. I have players who'd like that sort of thing if I could get them as a separate add-on.

I am reaching a point of real excitement! Not quite Bones V level... but that one had 3 expansions I loved every figure from. But I'm happy for the ride!

 

PS. I think a future of smaller, more frequent KS would be great! Indeed, the world keeps getting more specialized as we have access to so many options

Just over half of the core appeals to me. That still comes to less than two dollars per miniature, so it's a good value for sure. Barring some amazing additions I'm sitting at 50-50 on adding it in the PM.

Multiple people in the Kickstarter comments said they've just decided to get the Core with this last reveal, or that they're becoming tempted to get 2 copies. You never know what's going to push someone over that edge from "nah" to "worth it!"

Here we go!  There's some momentum.  Lighthouse is extremely unexpected but welcome.  Going to get at least one, maybe add a second in the pledge manager if the renders look solid.  Not aarakocra are nice and I'm happy they're beefing up the core a bit.  It's, like, 2/3s of the way down my priority list when it comes to finding funds so good to see the pot being sweetened.

I like the raptorkin but at the moment there are only 6 or so figures in Core that I'm interested in. 

 

~ $50k in pledges and 28 new backers since the lighthouse was announced.  I think unlocking the fire newts helped, too.

Honestly, you could probably sell what you don’t want and pay for a good chunk of the overall core cost.

That hasn't been my experience in the last two Bones Kickstarters, though I do a little trading.

Yup, I've seen it too many times where concept art is great (or even the promise - 12" tall dragon! Winds up being 9" when backers get it...) but something changes with the production model, and then there's a big kerfuffle between various factions regarding the item. 

 

It's a neat idea, but until I know dimensions and various things like that and there's a finalized render....

Very likely true. I think it all depends on how badly you want certain minis vs how much you want to go to the effort of advertising, selling and posting the ones you don't want.
