It looks like most of those are discontinued colors, parts of triads no longer available on store shelves. There will be interest, I'm sure, from people who were sad to see them go. If this is the case I definately don't need them. Outside of white, black, brush on primers, sealers, it's extremely rare for me to run out of a paint so I'm not the target audience here.

That way, not as expensive for unit sales and the buyers pick and choose to make custom layouts. I think that was the idea behind the Encounters in Bones 5. Those were great, I bought most of them and love them all! I think, based on the chatter, many other forumites and backers also really liked them. One thing that annoyed me about Bones 5 was finding out that some models were anatomically correct after having recieved them. The troll's bottom particularly turns me off. I could sculpt fig leaves for my Greek Statues, but I'd rather not. A big yellow smiley face on the stock photos of said parts would make it pretty obvious that they have extra bits sculpted on. I don't mind anatomically correct minis, (I have lots of topless Egyptians from many manufacturers) but I don't think they should be part of a package intended for mass market sales. The Reaper forum makes your censor their own minis before posting painted photos of them--so kind of a mixed message 3
Pezler the Polychromatic
@Reaper_Jon What needs to be done to shake Reaper down to add Flumphs and Flumph Adventurers? I am willing to entertain suggestions. 2

As far as I can tell, The only paint color offered here that is discontinued is MSP Gutter Grime, which was part of the RVE paints. Ghostfire is still available in the High Seas Horror fast palette and all the others featured in the photo are available in the store... In Bones 5 they had Foerster's favorites which was 12 paints pulled from existing paint colors and then they had the 12 new colors that were added. So maybe there will be these + another option with 12 "new" colors that fill in old holes. Yeah, the triads are being broken up as certain paints get the chop due to sales performance and that is super sad but there aren't any of the discontinued triad paints shown here. Chestnut Gold, Palomino gold and Buckskin Pale were in a triad, but Chestnut gold was discontinued (I think it was replaced by Golden Griffin Tan)... Shield brown is in a still available triad, same with twilight blue, stone grey, Aged Pewter and Old bronze, all still available. The rest (Succubus Kiss, Yellow Mold, Spectral Glow and Goblin Skin) are MSP Bones colors that I'm not sure were ever part of a triad and were never cut from the line. I'm probably going to skip this "Painter's Pick" option as I am only missing the Goblin Skin color from this offering. charcon
I am sorry but I can’t use those chibi things in games. I hope they don’t put them in the basic package and just make them an add on. The ones from previous ones just sit in the closet and probably eventually the trash 1

So it should be safe in this regard. Personally I like them just not enough compared to other stuff, so it will be a pass. I am pretty sure if you do not want any of the minis instead of trash you could gift them. Some people would either take them of your hands or those could be sent to some rpg centric clubs in schools or something. 10
ejala
Last week's Crow's Nest, when they had Ron on, they indicated there would be two sets of paints in the kickstarter, both curated by reaper's go to painters. One set would be existing, oft overlooked favorites, which is what's been teased. The second, yet unseen set would be resurrected and/or new colors chosen by the same painters. And the pathfinder chibis are an add on. The only question is are they three add-ons: iconics, gobbos, and dragon, or are they combined somehow. Want the dragon, don't need gobbos. If you have stuff you don't want, the boxes of goodwill are taking volunteers now. Someone else might want them and you might find something you'd rather have. 8

I'm thinking twice the size of the pirate ship for any decent tabletop play. And for what it would cost, there are a lot of competitor's products. I agree with everything in that paragraph except the underlined part. There is no reason at all that a tavern would be or should be that much larger than the ship. A 120 gun ship of the line 205 ft long on the main gundeck (that is 41 map squares) Beam 53ft — width (that is 10 map squares at maximum width—tapers narrower from there) The Sophie-class Frigate is only 155ft on the main gun deck (only 31 map squares) and the beam is a bit less than 45ft (7 map squares; with a half square or so left over to either side; it just pushes 9 inches) A rather large Tavern, say a 50x60 ft building, would be only 10x12 map squares. Compare to 31x7 or 45x10; ships are big things, taverns really should not be; real ones are not. This is the first or second one that came up in a search. Its interior is an incredibly spacious 10x16 squares. (An 80x50ft building.)

The scale of one inch base miniature next to one inch round table would look out of proportion. So most furnishing would have to be twice the size to seem passable. I know it is general issue with minis and terrain size on battlemats, but it leads to a need for oversized buildings. 100 ft sq room should be fairly sizeable room. Yet it can only fit in 4 minis and nothing else.
Sirithiliel
i'd paint the chibi dragon, but no interest in chibi adventurers. But the dragon would be cute to paint up

Mad Jack
I just got my Ukraine relief minis, and included in the package was one of the Bones 6 preview miniatures in the last picture in @ksbsnowowl 's first post in this thread.... It's the armored halfling adventurer.
Thoramel
Okay, so I know this info is buried in here somewhere but I haven't found it (likely just overlooking it). But what day and what time does this thing go live? It's this week sometime if I remember correctly, but I can't for the life of me recollect when that would be..
