Did the map change?

Last night I'm sure it had more of an underground/fungi feel to it...

Yeah, they switched it out for the Crypts before any of the goals were mapped.  It sounded like it was just Ron's personal preference (and the thought that two more maps are probably not necessary at this point)

Nice, there's not a ton of Lizardfolk in Bones.  Interesting that 3 of them are resculpts of the ones already in Bones, but they're different enough to make a nice mixed encounter.

I like that they match the older sculpts but I wish they had strayed a bit further from the older poses.

Though I do feel a few in here would work well as player characters. Which was lacking in the old set.

my main thing with this Kickstarter is the add on types. Basic monsters we have had every single kickstarter. Orcs, gnolls, bugbears

there isn't much unique or interesting there for a lot of long-time backers who already have PILES of those miniature types, just mroe of what we have had every single kickstarter before.

that's my main annoyance, what add ons we have gotten, few as they are, are just more of the same old. I'd have loved to see some more new things, interesting things, like we have in previous kickstarters.

Adding the mudmen, ants and newts from the core is a start, that's the kind of add ons i wanted to see in the first place. NEW things. Not just more of the same in different poses than what is already at retail.

because yea, if you dont' want the core or expansions, then our options are restyled basic monsters we already have mountains of =(

i'm really hoping SOMETHIGN that gets me excited is revealed, i WANT to throw money at reaper but i'm not buying more dang basic mook monsters when i have literal dozens of each kind already

I do wonder if some of this is changing KS goals for Reaper.

We love the big dragons and "wow!" monsters during the Kickstarter, but I'd suspect that Reaper makes more money off the bread and butter basics. A bunch of different dragon molds don't do them any good if they can't have a regular flow of sales at retail price later.

I get your point; I'm there too. I don't need more of the basics even if they are good sculpts. But while we don't need them, there may be a bunch of people who have a village of bugbears to populate.

indeed

i would just hae rathered the orcs/gnolls/bugbears go into the dungeon denizen expansion and we get somethign more exciting for add ons, but that's just me of course

i'm just desperately trying to find SOMETHING to be excited about for this kickstarter all month, and now that we're in the final hours it doesnt look like it's going to happen /shrug, so i am admittedly disappointed in that but oh well, that's my problem

I have to admit, none of these really thrill me. I prefer the older metal sculpts over these guys.
