kristof65
I have no expectations that a Chronoscope KS would be on the same scale of success that B1-B6 were. My expectations would be more along the lines of how the first CAV KS was for Reaper. Not a huge success, but it brought 30+ models to Bones, making CAV an affordable game. TBH, I've thought about getting together with some of the other Chronoscope enthusiasts here and seeing if we could work on a pitch for Reaper to make a Chronoscope KS project that would have the best shot of being successful. 10

I'd be an all-in backer for cowboys, modern noir, and/or cyberpunk. Within reason.

Great Khan Artist
Well, we got the Greek and Egyptian sets. The only other mythology I'd really like to see is East Indian, but it's unlikely as many of those gods and heroes are part of Hindu mythology and political correctness would make it difficult.

I suppose if you already have thousands of miniatures, the offerings may almost all be duplicates, but if that is the case and you don't want duplicates, why would you expect to find anything? If you think these minis are not good value, then you are probably asking too much; yes, the price per figure is not quite as good as it has been before, but costs and uncertainty have gone up, and the value is still very good despite that. If you think the quality of the sculpts is not good enough, your standards are just too high. Sure, there are going to be things you don't like. There are plenty of things here I don't particularly like, but there are so many other options too. I just don't understand the "none of these are worth buying" crowd. At all. its perspective. i like larger monsters. past kickstarters had more 'stuff'. giant treemen, dinosaurs, more dragons, storm giant, and models that arent really made by other companies - their take on Slaad for example . The $50 sets had more interesting (IMHO) models that have not been made before for D&D as well (ie. eye of the deep). Also i think the idea of standards too high isnt really fair. I generally like high detail resin kits - more finer detail. BUT i do like bones monsters as well. To me, the Mierce Chimera is the best chimera (detail wise) out there, and its not even close. Also done by who I (and other company sculptors i've spoken with) considered the best monster sculptor in the model business. but , while i use that for gaming, some would see it more as as high end collector piece. which is cool. Its not a matter of a standard. its what you like. i prefer less, but cooler looking models . A forgeworld chaos dragon is worth more than 1000 humanoids/orcs, etc for me cause its cool. a true eye catcher if painted well. ive asked my girls if they like anything in the kickstarter...so if i listen to them, i need to RAISE the bid to like $500.... so im thinking to get stuff they want, try to sell whatever is left (as usual) and will keep a couple things i want. value wise the reaper kickstarters are almost impossible to beat, but the value is meaningless if the models arent interesting for you and the buyers market has (seemingly) depleted for it. I expected Reaper to continue to evolve its offerings, and instead we got zombies, dwarves, orcs and other common sculpts of a variety that can be had nearly anywhere. Its definitely a good value, and the sculpting is great but it feels like it fell short of previous creative attempts. Even last night on the Twitch stream Ron said they had some great encounter sets that didn't get revealed, and I'm still wondering why. If you're talking up new products that much, and want people to fund it, you've got to show something. That said, there was plenty I liked, and put money down for. However, I've also realized that my interests have evolved beyond Reaper. There's nothing wrong with having high standards, and other companies meet those expectations in creativity and originality. Definitely, if you are that unhappy with the project. Unfortunately I think you’ve got the same problem I have. People that have backed several Bones Kickstarters and have the main “stock” monsters just aren’t the main target audience any more. It sucks as I want to give Reaper my money, but clearly selling stock monsters to people new to minis is what helps Reaper pay the bills.

Same, though I'd also like to see some Mesoamerican mythology as well. Perhaps some hussars also, just for some Polish representation.
Cyradis
Latin/South American would be a fun mythology set for minis. I'm sure there are lots of African legends that would be spectacular too. Mongolian monster riders would also be cool. Lots of neato options for mini makers if they want to expand from "the usual". Got Egyptian, but kinda in a way of how the British thought that mummies were super cool back in the 1800s and it got kinda weird fetishy. At least we aren't snorting ground up mummy anymore, eh?

DragonWyrm
Mythology wise. I would like more of the slavic kind as well as some demons and monsters from old illuminated manuscripts. What I was looking at were some more interesting and unique monsters. Denizens has some of that. I wonder why we don't get more chimeras. After all all a chimera really is is a mixture of animals and there are so many that could be explored. 22 hours ago, Cyradis said: At least we aren't snorting ground up mummy anymore, eh? Sometimes they do that as with their Bones 1 harpy and the updated harpies in Bones 5. They’ve done it with hydras as well. I can think of several legacy inspirational series for future KSers: Hun or Mongol raiders on horseback Ancient Persian Ancient Babylonian (anunnaki) South and Central America (couatl) Pan-Polynesian A Chronoscope series specifically targeted at the ancient legends of Atlantis would have me throwing heaps of money at Reaper. The artists could let their imaginations run wild.
