pcktlnt
If they put a date that would hard press me to commit my choices. At the moment I have selected nothing but my wish list is currently at 500. XD @Sirithiliel, i vote for the ash dragon.
Ratmaster2000
I think between covid, the economy not bouncing back quickly and the Loss Of Ed, Reaper may just be trying to recover (like we all are) from all that. This last few years have been tough for everybody and we have gone so backwards IMHO, nothing seems worth it anymore. 4
pinkymadigan
It would just feel closer if they shut it down, that's all. Also the sooner the less chance the date slips.

1dunnj
I'd like a date so I can budget. I want at least another anniversry dragon before it closes, but I've also got other ks that I pledged what I could afford at the time, and not what I wanted to. So if I get a suprise closing Oct, then I have some hard choices. If it's an early 2024 then I'm a happy boy. Also they don't have to close it until they need to put overseas mfg quantities in (after all the red wax samples and p.u. samples are approved), so no reason to close it sooner. And sounds like u.s. production is pretty busy until after reapercon.

At the very least, they could say something to the effect of "we expect to close the Pledge Manager in late December or early January, but the final date has not been set." I just don't see the value in avoiding even an estimate; it makes them look highly disorganized, bad at communication, or both. 4
Becca
On 7/21/2023 at 6:28 PM, JoeGKushner said: Why are people worried about a closing date on the pledge manager? Trying to resist temptation or something? For me it's about planning/expectations. I like knowing when to expect something, it helps set my expectations and stops me from fixating. So if I know it'll be closing sometime fall 2023 then i don't need to think about it until then. If I don't know when it's closing then I wonder every update if we'll get the surprise closing date. I don't need the closing date to be next month, I just need an idea of when. And it's not like they don't know when it will be. If they have dates reserved at a factory for production then they know the last day they need final numbers by and if they don't have any incentive to close it earlier than that, they know the closing date, at the very least by the month, more than likely by the week.
Adrift
Reaper has always been good about giving sufficient early warning on the close dates of the pledge manager. I’m sure they’ve seen in past projects that adding more add-ons over time doesn’t affect deliveries but does add to the non-KS money pile while growing production of the line. So they just leave it open-ended. If they haven’t announced a close date, assume that it has quite a few months to go, and know that they won’t just drop an update saying something like “you only have 30 days remaining.” If they haven’t said anything by ReaperCon, just know that several of us will be throwing drinks at the reaper people to get them chatty. 🍻🍷🍸🍹🥃

Becca
How do the minis come packaged? This is my first Bones and I'm curious how they will arrive. All dumped in a big box? Everything in individual plastic bags? Sets broken out into boxes like they are on the website?
Serenity
Individual bags, mostly. Those bags are packed into larger bags, the larger bags then go into a box for the Core Set and the Expansions. Some of the bigger minis sometimes come in their own box, too. Many of the options just come in their own bags, no box. The boxes are often packed in really tight. There are some sets I was never able to get back into the original box without spending way too much time figuring out how. Since they can deform in a tight box, it is best to get them out anyway.
Cygnwulf
This is how my bones 5 was packed. The baggies were in individually because they were add-ons and extras, the boxes on the left were the expansions I picked and the paint set. The M.E.O.W. agents are box inspectors and provided themselves. Edited August 2 by Cygnwulf 12 1

bearsman6
The M.E.O.W. agents made me laugh IRL. In the doctor's office waiting room. Oops.
GoldenPiggy
Well, they added extra pillars. On the other hand, they seem to have accidentally replaced the stirges with the pillars in the Pledge Manager, so anyone who ordered stirges now has pillars instead. That should be fun to fix. 1 1
