That one is definitely needed in the rpg side of things. Common animal encounters always were crazy in pre-paints. Wolves show up in almost very module. 5

Goddesstio
I think wolves are great to have, but don't actually do a lot to drive up excitement, which is what I think reaper needs right now. It looks like they changed the 1.050 goal from Hellborn to the Chonk dragon, which I think is a great idea. I'm hoping they just move the hellborn back a spot and throw the wolves out until the end. They're good, but not money drivers. So far I'm getting all the expansions, but I'm mostly getting GG and Sullenhall because they're good value and I want a few pieces, not because I'm excited about them. If I did not have extra disposable income at this time - which I thankfully do - they'd be the first things I cut. I desperately want to see Hakir, and I think it would be a good sales driver to show some of the unlock map ahead of time, or do a core graphic with silhouettes showing everything you COULD get. Right now, I get the "underwhemling" vibe a lot of people are talking about. I think if they hadn't released Briarwood's details, they'd have even less pledges, as it seems to be an absolute standout so far.

But I have higher expectations for the upcoming ones (the green griffon extras sounds fun and more of what I actually wanted from the GG). The hellebore look interesting while the wolves for the core set look good (was hopping there would be 6 or 7 in a pack, but they did just release the old wolves in plastic) The hellborn look to have a nice variety while keeping a common aesthetic. The poses for the wolves look more rare than the other manufacturers. The top can be howling, but it also looks like if it was smelling the air. The middle is a stalking post, but the face doesn't seem to be growling. While the bottom looks more surprised to find you there than anything. Where did you find the wolf pack image? Looks awesome!

DragonWyrm
Looking cat the core set. We need Skeletal Hounds for the Skeletal Houndmaster! He only has one! Can hardly call himself a master! 12 minutes ago, haldir said: Cheap wolves is never a bad thing. I know. I have been looking at wolves for a while now and they either are either bloody expensive (Mierce, Otherworld Miniatures, thunderbolt mountain, warlord), limited amount of sculpts, stylised or are just plain bad. Reaper, Iron Wind Metals and frost grave are probably what I want in the end. 1 minute ago, Goddesstio said: I'm hoping they just move the hellborn back a spot and throw the wolves out until the end. Someone mentioned they showed the next couple stretch goals (without posting an image here!). 5

Walkingbass
I’m very new to the hobby, and this is my first Reaper kickstarter. I’m really excited for the core set, especially the larger monsters like the bog shambler. I always need more paints, and the just-revealed dragon looks great. I’m not sure about the expansions, because I’m not sure how many terrain pieces I need yet. If we get a good collection of monsters, the dungeon one may be good. All up I’m happy with what they’ve shown so far, and am excited to see what they have planned next. 13

Enjoy, and expect to spend far more than you ever imagined you would! 7
Cyradis
In for $50 currently, but I'm seeing $116 of goodies that suit me right now. If I didn't have IV and V's core sets, this one would be a good "stock the DM's miscellaneous necessities" pack, but.... already have that. It would need multiple very special sculpts to get me, I think. I would've gone for the undead set if it had more terrain. I *hate* painting general skeletons and zombies, despite playing necromancy stuff. So boring to paint. Bleh. It is a great set if you need those or like those. The previous KS also gave me sufficient translucent plastic ghosties, so that need is already fulfilled for me too.
MoonglowMinis
Rereading the lore blurbs on the stretch goals. Noticed the mongrelfolk one mentions a circus in town. Crossing my fingers that we get some carnival themed minis. Could make for a nice encounter set. 11
Minsky07
Are those just bunch of leaves on a branch? Somehow I cannot read them properly neither here nor in green previews. Not that it too much of a problem. I can probably remove those. Just something that bugs me a little.
Jeronimus
Is this new dragon about the same size as the red dragon from last time, or is this an attempt to make a chunkier/more mature version? The one from B5 was probably the slimmest of the five chromatic dragons in the Kickstarter, and this one does look a bit thicker, though it's also on a 3 inch base. A Forscale would do wonders here - I find dragon sizes are always really hard to gauge.

I can't quite tell if that branch and the arm above it are interchangeable or not - if yes, it might contribute to the variety one can get from the figure. I like the wolves - I was trying to find a good pack of wolves a couple years ago, with no luck - most of Reaper's wolves are Dire Wolves and too big for a normal wolf encounter, and any wolf in the familiars set would have been just a bit too small to be intimidating. The only thing in between at the time were some hellhounds, or the two-pack of undead wolves, and so i ended up using the undead wolves which actually worked just fine, in the end, for what I was using them for. If these wolves were available then, I'd have easily grabbed a dozen of them. I'm glad to see them this time, anyway. If that undead hound-master doesn't see more skeletal dogs, by the way, then the undead wolves are surely a nice start on an alternative? (Too bad the skeleton-with-dog-skeleton couldn't have been packaged with a handful of other skeletal dogs as a Wild Hunt for the fae expansion! Like the swamp shambler, witches, elven cat, cat-dragon, and a couple other items in the Core Set, I'm going to think of the Skeletal huntsman as part of an unofficial part of Brierwood Vale 🙂 ) Absolutely agreed on the "boring" random animal encounters being surprisingly hard to come by, given how "common" they should be. Wolves, snakes/vipers, hyenas, tigers, panthers, lions, spiders of all sizes, oozes and slimes, stirges, imps/quasits/mephites, crabs, ants, beetles, giant frogs, giant lizards, giant snails - other than Dire Wolves, it seems like rats have been the only random encounter monsters to really get covered very well: Reaper has all sorts of dire rats, giant rats, rat swarms, and so on. Bat swarms seem to come in second place. reaper has more than a couple decent bears now, too, and we finally saw some imps/quasits/mephits in the fan favorite set, I believe, and we get a few "small" spiders, scorpions, beetles, prairie ticks, centipedes, and some beetle and spider swarms, and that's Great, as were the giant grubs and giant frogs that appeared a couple Kickstarters ago. Reaper's got a better variety of spiders lately, too. Took a while, but Reaper's finally looking like they're getting most (if not all) of these subjects covered! Wouldn't mind a wider variety of sizes for some of those subjects, but anything at all has been nice to see. After all, I can't think of too many old-school D&D modules and their imitators that didn't make use of giant lizards, vipers, wolves, spiders, and the like! Anyway, those small, "boring" random-encounter animals and the like seem like the perfect "bonus" critters to pad out Core Sets, Encounters, and Expansions alike.
Chris Palmer
Where are all the Bones5-like Encounter sets with a half dozen figures and some terrain? They were so popular last time I thought this Kickstarter would be full of them. The current swath of Add-Ons, while some are "nice", are nothing to get folks excited. And I really feel at this point that revealing so many stretch goals up front took a lot of steam out of the excitement of constantly checking in to see what's next. Yes, it took care of the whiners who constantly bemoan "show me all of it", but it certainly also dampened a lot of the excitement. Why get up early Christmas morning, if your parents show you everything you're getting the night before? If I'm not clicking on the Kickstarter page for two or more days because I know everything that's coming, I'm also not being tempted by anything and impulsively adding more to my pledge.
