Nah, this was a midnight raid on anther Con-goers room for a bottle of booze he had stashed in there. While I wasn't part of it, the raid was quite successful. 2

Sirithiliel
Thanks for posting pictures. They scatter them over so many different places I usually never see them if they aren't posted here As to the cynicism or jaded ness in the thread: not everyone is going to be a bowl of sunshine and happy rainbows for every single revealed mini. Sorry. We aren't bashing the artists, or the sculpts. We are voicing what we would like to see, or our feelings. Usually that is allowed on this forum,I'd hate to see those of us that are struggling to find something to be excited about get censored and shouted down just because we won't hop on the happy train for every stretch goal Yes I'm not reapers target customer anymore. They don't care what I think. They are here to make money and not appeal to my individual desires But it'd be nice to be able to voice my feelings over the lack of appeal without getting jumped on for 'ruining the mood'. By this time in the last Kickstarter there were lots of things to be excited about, even for long term Bones Kickstarter backers. This time not so much, and I'm not the only one feeling that way But I also don't like being told I'm not allowed to talk about it, or offer feedback on it. Sorry that I'm not showering the reveals in happy praise. I rarely come on the forums anymore as it is, and it's tempting to just make that permanent. I'd just dont feel welcome here as much as I did a few years ago. Edited April 7, 2022 by Sirithiliel 14
MoonKing
I'm wondering if the bog encounter might not include a group of Troglodytes among other minis and terrain.
Jeronimus
If the Rotstump Bog means bullywugs, my interest would definitely be piqued... Combine that with the gatormen from Bones 5's Fan Favorites, and add in the giant crawdad... and we've got ourselves a few sessions of a swamp campaign ready to go. Don't want to get the core just for a shambling mound, but it's a perfect swamp thing as well.
Brianuk
I loved the encounters on Bones 5 so will be intrigued to see what they've done here. Owl bears, baby owl bears, a nest, sounds great. Maybe a bear owl for balance? Too much? It's important that we all buy that lobster, to ensure that this gets expanded into a whole warband of vengeful seafood. Time to stock up on elastic bands. Also anything swampy would be great, I really like the current squob bullywugs they do but would be happy with any swamp encounter. I pledged my $125 early and have sat back and watched. There's probably a few people like me who will be dipping in and out of their pledge manager, and adding to it with hobby budget or bonuses. They keep it open for a very generous amount of time and obviously offered Bones 5.5 this time around. If there are a lot of people like me that does mean though that they get a large initial investment and then things slow down in the campaign. Hopefully this Friday they start showing more of the Hakir and Dungeon Dwellers expansions. I have accidentally collected a 'Tomb Kings' type army by collecting and painting for Rangers of Shadow Deep and it would be good to broaden it out.
Jeronimus
"The Unholy Sanctum of the Demon Prince" is definitely interesting as well. That title makes me assume the central figure will be be loosely based on one of the actual D&D "demon princes", rather than being a generic pit fiend kind of demon - the Demonic Legion covered that nicely last time, and I got a massive, insane demon figure in the Bardsung box that I think goes surprisingly well with those, so I'm certainly good on winged gargoyle demons. Demogorgon was covered in the "Fan Favorites" last time. Graz'zt is... not that interesting? I mean... he's just kind of a tall guy, isn't he? Kostchtchie is just an even taller guy! Well, no, he's basically a gigantic ogre, which might also appeal to those who were clamoring for BIGGER GIANTS. Fraz-Urb'lu is the closest to the 'generic winged demon' that they could get. I feel they probably won't go for the gargoyle look again, but I could be wrong. The "Agramon, Duke of Hell" from Bones 4 is a perfect sculpt for this, but from a glance, it looks like he never made it retail yet? Malcanthet is really just a succubus. Sophie's right there, if anyone needs a succubus! And I'm pretty sure there was a succubus in Dungeon Dwellers AND a succubus add-on last time. That's a niche that's plenty served. Orcus is a classic. They already have an appropriate sculpt for him (https://www.reapermini.com/search/figurefinder+demon/latest/77316), but I think it's in Early Bones, so an updae would probably be a good decision. With the wand's ability to summon undead, I could also imagine this being ripe for an encounter. "Unholy" also sounds right for the lord of undeath, though I suppose any demon would be considered unholy... I backed Next Level Miniatures' kickstarter, so I do already have an Orcus on the horizon, but hey... Baphomet is basically a big minotaur... but didn't someone mention there'd be minotaurs in this campaign again? Juiblex would certainly be nasty. A big huge slimy thing with hundreds of eyes... for lack of a Lovecraftian monster in this campaign, this might satisfy some people! Yeenoghu would definitely be cool, though I'm wondering if they wouldn't have paired him up with the gnolls if this were the one... Zuggtmoy would be interesting as well. I don't think the Fungal Queen quite works as a Zuggtmoy proxy (too pretty!), but I've seen that in the comments, so it doesn't seem likely to me. I believe they have mentioned during the live show when revealed gnolls that there won't be hyenas, but there will be something else connected with the gnolls. So it could be that in theory. But indeed gnolls as a part of such an encounter would make a lot more sense than gnoll based encounter with gnolls to be purchased separately. Potentially, it could be a cultist based encounter that would work with any demon prince (as demon prince itself would not be included 😉 ) I would not be against such a solution myself.

Sure, but come on... you want them to perform a ritual to actually summon that demon lord, don't you...?
