Additionally, Ron said it would have an ‘Arabian Nights’ feel; I know there are lots of people who have been asking for desert-dwelling “Lawrence of Arabia” type PC characters. I wouldn’t be surprised if the ‘heroes’ from this encounter target that request. And then it’ll tie into the Egyptian expansion fairly well; most people that buy one will likely buy the other.

I'm anticipating some lava terrain, and maybe a flying carpet riding hero to swoop over the fiery terrain to snatch the egg from the clutches of the Salamanders.

That would be cool.

I think what I’m most interested in learning about it at this point is, 1) how many hero figures there will be, and 2) what is the encounter’s price point. Obviously, number 1 will impact number 2.

I’m curious to see what they do with it.

I really liked the $20 or less approach last time.  Just cheap enough for me to talk myself into all of them.

I already have the Incubus and Succubus sets from bones 5... 😐 why are  you trying to rehash stuff we already have!!! 😝

Though along those lines, (sort of) I wouldnt mind an expansion pack of entertainers... Jugglers, musicians, actors, etc... that might be at the Green Griffin on any given night.

I have my village worth of villagers, my blacksmiths, a few magistrates and bailiffs, barkeeps, but would love entertainers.

I’m not arguing Reaper should alter their reveal methods.
I’m arguing they chose to reveal the wrong* things at the early stage of this campaign.

I see the distinction, and you are most  probably right.   What I don't know  is how to right the ship at this point 😒

Well... reaper Ron and reaper John keep saying in the comments that the best is yet to come... It does not look like they are in a panic to change how this is going, and the next stretch goal went up to a $45,000 stretch (vs the $40,000 we had been on). So it could be that they are confident that things will pick up with later reveals... or it could be that they are content with a slower/lower overall finish this time. If they have a minimum they want to achieve and are confident they will get there, but at the same time dont want the crazyness that massively overfunding might bring... No idea, just thinking out loud.

Things I really like so far: Dragon, Pig guys, Crayfish, Ants. (I like the green Griffin set but I dont "like- like it. We are just friends)

Things I really liked in Bones 5: Pirate Ship, Brinewind, Brinewind extras. Ravenhome, Ghoul encounter. Canons.  The Landsknecht...  I liked the mermaid set but didnt get it.

This was brought up in the KS comments. But the Landsknecht was my favorite mini from Bones 5... I ended up getting her on ebay. A unit of female landsknechts... (a set of 6) with say options for a drummer and a standard... at $14 would have me instantly drop another $70 for a unit of 30...

What kind of encounters are you all hoping to run with the names we've seen so far?

Egg of the Phoenix: this is probably a pass, unless it has some fantastic terrain pieces.

The Unholy Sanctum of the Demon Prince: most likely a pass, we don't do much demonic stuff, an I have enough already

The Lost Temple of the Deep Ones: this could be gold, I'm hoping for terrain pieces, a dock, a shanty, an altar, lots of fish-folk, fishermen, and fish eyed villagers

The Owlbear’s Lair: I'm hoping this is a stinkin' cute display set. If it is, I may have to get two. One of the guys I game with is mad for owlbears and is highly anticipating this.

The Danger in the Rotstump Bog: uh, I dunno.  A couple mad scientist types with dodgy looking equipment, an escaped "creature", a handful of mixed gender civilians, police, newspaper reporters, and PC types, maybe a vehicle or two

Feast of the Slaughterwaulers: no interest at this point

Anther encounter I'd love to see is this one, anther favorite fantasy picture (oddly both from the same artist Daniel R Horne)

Oh man, loved this cover from back in the day. I may even still have it, if the magazines didn't get damaged or tossed:(

I was just happy that for years I was somehow a top result when you Googled "Kostchtchie", looks like the image has moved down slightly.

It's how I knew who he was, back in the day.

To look at where people feel this KS is at, and to look at where past Kickstarters have trended, we are in the early slump about when the early slump happens. I know it doesn't feel great to have bigger gaps between reveals but this has happened before. The Core Set is fleshed out pretty heavy early on (I would guess we are about 2/3rds of the way through its reveal) and an early expansion with solid fan support is nearly fleshed out (the Green Gryphon Tavern) and another 1-2 making solid progress. With that I would expect to see Reaper holding some really big stuff for the 1/3, 1/2, and 2/3 marks for days left ahead, they have in the past and those are good benchmarks for helping pick up as we hit the slowdown after the initial rapid gain opening. It should traditionally pick back up that pace in the last few days just the same.

I fully understand that the slow downs don't feel good, the old hurry up and wait. People have had issue with not finding what they are looking for 'yet' in the past KS, feeling that things should have been reorder. Those feelings are fully valid, and the possibility that you don't find what you are looking for in this KS from cradle to grave may be a thing as well. Folks could also be waiting for that next paycheck or their tax return to hit. Too many variables to really know, but I do feel that Reaper has learned a lot, has done a lot of listening, and has some incredible offers already revealed this go around.

A full Chronoscope expansion being off the docket I can understand. I am in the camp of 'if it was broken into separate pieces I would have bought the encounter packs for what I want in previous KS. The full Chronoscope boxes haven't hit my >60% of models I want to justify buying now vs waiting for retail' criteria. But a focused 'Pulp Heroes' stand alone, or

And I feel it is safe to say that there will be dragon reveals that will drive numbers up when they do. 23 days to go, which is still a long road ahead on this marathon, I do hope that folks find their 'must haves' and I do believe that Reaper has some solid stuff ahead ( at least 2 more expansions, quite a few encounters, dragons, we tend to get a Lovecraftian god/monster in each KS, more dragons.)

Wow, I'd be all over that too!  And, as you say, in multiples to make larger units!  I'd appreciate more dynamic poses this time though...

The giant crayfish is cool. I will proxy it as a giant lobster... If i can get multiple at retail, I will have my party go to an all you can eat giant lobster buffet... where the lobsters rebel and fight back...

There is an all-you can eat lobster buffet in CT (about 6 hours from me... The Nordic. Its $125 per person and a 2 hour limit... My wife says "no!" as it would be $500 to eat with our 2 kids... so I will make my players pay for me not getting to go there!!!

Dependong on how expensive the set is, you might be better off buying multiple in the KS and selling the excess.  Some of those price bumps have been HUGE.
