Blip
To unlock the Drift Lurker, we all had to stop being lurkers ourselves. 😄

Inarah
One of tonight's teasers: Shimmerscale is shown on a 4" round base, and is approximately 7" high! Ron: "There's a lot of cool stuff coming up." He also mentioned the fairy dragon is large and likely to retail for $30. ksbsnowowl
Ron said Shimmerscale is on a 4” base and will be about 7” tall. Will be on par with Diabolus and Cinder? Retail about $30?

The wings are planned to be translucent - the body will be normal solid Bonesium (probably Bones Classic), but hopefully the wings will be translucent plastic.

Bane Of Humanity
$30? Just how big is it? They say 'large" so I assume 2" base...

tommyzolla
Very happy to see the Drift lurker added! One thing that I'm really enjoying about this KS is the amount of images and high quality renders available to look at (and I'm extremely grateful to all the people who are posting them here and on other threads). For me, some models don't really grab me until I'm holding them and looking at the small details, and these turn arounds really do that. I'm currently painting through a huge chunk of my oldest bones minis and what I'm really loving is being able to see the sculptor's skills improve. It's so interesting seeing a mini a sculptor made years ago and thinking "man this is a cool sculpt" and then seeing their new and improved 2022 skills and progress. A lot of my favourite sculptors have models in the new KS (Van Patten has completely knocked it our of the park - her minis have always been dope, but this time she's totally off the chain!), Wiebe continues to bring out his very distinct style of sculpting - and to me seems to have hit his peak with the Bog Shambler, Ridolfi is true to form pumping out some awesome terrain, Guthrie's sculpting reached God-like years ago - and this is evident. Jackson is continuing his (in my Bobby Jackson fan-girl eyes) near perfect run of awesome minis. I hesitate to leave anyone out, and could talk about every new sculpt so far, but you get the point... If nothing else, the Kickstarter is a very cool showcase of some of the best talent in the industry, at their career best so far. It's like when your favourite author or band releases a new book or album, but there are hundreds of them at once! @ksbsnowowl I found your explanation of gamers vs painters perspective in this KS very interesting. I think you've really hit the nail on the head there; and very eloquently explained you thinking. It's given me a lot to think about. I was very much chasing more gaming minis during Bones 5, then fell deeply into painting, and came to this one looking for more/extra gaming pieces (in particular big monsters), but was also keen for more things to just paint. May explain why I've been so happy with both. Edited April 8, 2022 by tommyzolla 10
Popular Post MoonglowMinis
I am LOVING this design! This is exactly what I've been begging for. Unique characters and designs that don't feel like the stereotypical medieval europe fantasy. I can't wait for this expansion! 19
