Yeah, they changed it, likely due to the accusations of plagiarizing Archvillain Games’ STL.

 

 

 

I prefer the two-axe look, myself, over the new Axe-and-shield.

The werebear has reemerged! I kind of like the shield too. The fact it wields weapons and wears clothing says a lot about how this is a more intelligent, less savage monster, and showing it cares about defending itself leans into that even further.

i do like the archvillain one better.  love the skulls, leg fur and dual axes as well..

 

I was hoping they would have shown an extra peak at whats after. Just to maybe drum up more discussion for something in the near future .

the need to defend himself only matters if he's not powerful to handle what comes at him. ie. me in Elden Ring. damn shields and parrying. Dual Colossal Hammers 😄 😄 😄

I think it goes well with types like those of Icewind Dale, where they're an intelligent order who pass along Lycanthropy among a chosen few to be protectors who can go comfortably anywhere in the frozen north.

I wish I was better with the two Colossals, but Greatsword life for me.  Just switched to try out the Blasphemous Blade last night.

oh im not necessarily good but i have played Demon Souls all the way to Dark Souls 3 (i didnt bother with Shekiro since didnt like the art style as much - not a big fan of orient based/chinese/japanese style stuff)....

Honestly? I like the two-axe one better. It also has more potential for kitbashing and weapon swaps. Unless Reaper were to do the smart thing and sculpt the whole of the left arm, and then sculpt the shield with a scoop-out for his arm to insert into the flat plane a bit. Then drilling out the hand and adding a second weapon, instead of the shield, would be easy. 
 

But what’ll probably happen is the hand will be one with the shield, separated at the wrist. Then if you cut the hand off the shield, the outside of the hand will be flat, with no texture. 

The first one is just an overall better design.
