Minsky07
Hope I am not ruining anyone's fun 😕 Found couple more metal precursors: Really like Vodelis and Asandris. They actually look like a wizard and his apprentice 😉 And Winged Cat ❤️ Although with feathers it would be even more awesome Edited March 18, 2022 by Minsky07 16

I was shocked when Vodelis didn't make it to Bones 5, he was being shown off with the Draugr...I mean, Rune Wights...with others Bones 5 previews at ReaperCon.
Guyra
I have the other version of Dragoth on a throne, so it's going to be fun getting this one as well. Anyone know if the mini would be possible to separate from the throne, as with the other Dragoth? (Like, if the metal version comes with the Dragoth as one piece, and the throne as a separate piece?)

Just because a metal mini with a silicone/rubber mould doesn’t require a cut, that pretty much has no bearing on if the model with stainless steel moulds will need a cut or not. Just based on other seated Bones mini’s, I’m guessing the undead and the throne will be separate pieces. At least his torso will be separate, but quite possibly his whole figure. But, admittedly that doesn’t mean the throne will be fully sculpted under his cape, etc.

Moderator Chaoswolf Posted March 18, 2022 Author Moderator Share Posted March 18, 2022 4 hours ago, Guyra said: Ahh, gotcha! Thanks for clearing that up for me! 😄 So I got one set of extra zombies with Bones 5, and the extra set had two of one sculpt - leaving me with two of two sculpts, three of one sculpt, and just one of the last sculpt. (I know Reaper Support would absolutely fix this for me, but they had already sent me some replacement stuff, and I had missed this when going through my Bones 5 order, so I didn't feel like bothering them again.) I did some head swaps, and it was really easy. The only one that took a bit of extra work was the woman, because of all that hair, so for her I swapped just the face. It was a little more work, but not that much. So I'll definitely be doing some more of that with the Bones 6 ones as well. Maybe even adding some small details on a few using random bits laying around here. Here's a pic of how head swapping these zombies can look: Nice work on those conversions! 2

Zombies are nice & always welcomed but yah this is also one thing I'm sure allot of DM/GMs have a bunch of (myself included). Since I didn't have my 3d printers when B5 was active, that'll factor into my interest in this one. Confused on a previous post, so they aren't going to break up the Core set into individual groups like previous KSes? Like Kid Heroes for $16 or Dragons $15? I won't know for sure until I see all the Kickstarter minis and prices all together, but I strongly suspect that, now that I have a 3D resin printer, I'll only be grabbing large minis and terrain from Bones 6 (if at all).
Corsair
Well, kind of aggravated, I should have gone ahead and ordered the Chronoscope last KS but didn't want the zombies. Now, it looks like I could have used them.

More than anything I think it was the 16 zombies just really getting to me. I hate those sculpts. Sure, they’re just filler, but they could have easily been something I liked the look of (Briarlings, gnolls, bugbears, Troglodytes, any other zombie sculpts). After looking at the image with a bit better resolution, there are a few more things in it I like. Vodelis Winterhand is in it, I think, and there might be more than just 3 of the 25th anniversary mini’s in there. Here’s hoping they add Hecklemeyer in later on. I still find it interesting the stark contrast in the numbers of models I liked in the first Bones 5 reveal (20) versus this one (8). Not that I’m the bar against which Reaper’s KS planning is measured, but it definitely threw me for an unexpected loop. I'm in the same boat - not as much in here to get me juicy as I thought there would be however, I want that Bog shambler so bad I'll have to grab the core set rather than waiting to see if he ever gets to retail, I've wanted Boren Backslap for ages, and now he's in plastic it's an even better time for me to snap him up, and there's 7 more minis I'm keen on. I have no real interest in Zombies, and I hate having repeat minis on a table - they always ruin the look of a painted set for me. I suspect that they will all end up as rotting corpse scenery for me. I always need more dead villagers for campaigns across warring lands, and when they get sliced up and put in puddles and mud they'll look pretty good I recon. I'm also confident that the core set will expand out with more stuff that I'll tell myself I *need*, and that when I hold the minis in my hand I'll love way more than I do on a computer screen. I'm pretty excited about the Green Griff models thus far too. TL:DR I'm trying to not be too critical atm - I know I'll end up buying pretty much everything, so I'll keep myself excited for the models I love, and trust that I'll end up being glad that I ended up with everything when the big box finally turns up. (And, if I really don't like some of the minis, I'll just give 'em away to my DnD club and enjoy the warm glow of giving stuff to others). I've never regretted buying minis from the Bones Kickstarters, but I definitely have regretted not buying certain things. DragonWyrm
Now as a person who has only four zombie mini (Dreadmare monk, maybe sons of Barty count?) and somehow has collected an undead army1, I don't mind the zombies (plus they can be used as corpses in the worse cases scenario). From the currently show core set I am interested in the Big cat, dog handler, hobbit on dragon and large shambling mound and golem. I also like most of the wizards, undead and female dancers/ladies. I will need to see how it goes with the add ons, expansions and stretch goals. 1. I didn't plan on doing it! The necromancy choose me and forced itself upon my pure heart!, 5
