DragonWyrm
I like the 3 stages. Thought they could have made it a little more fun. Add one more stage. The Old King, he should be Fat and Decadent! Or the baby Prince, cute and loveable. Looking at Briarwood, I see one small problem I have with it. There are only three redcaps. In past expansions if there were small figures there were more. 6 unmounted goblins and kobolds in the Dungeon Dwellers, 5 deep (plus 5 bloodstone) gnomes in Darkreach, 4 ninja goblins in Daimyo , 5 brine goblins in Dark Depths, 5 mephits and 4 blood imps in Fan Favourite. In addition to those there generally was a figure that would work as leader of the encounter, whether that was a a mounted version or some oni.

Awesome stuff. Hoping for something like that. I've got a few of those old gems! Something along those lines would be pretty cool. 10 hours ago, kristof65 said: and sometimes you don't even realize how helpful a core set has been for this until years after you got it. I can't count the number of times a mini from a core set that I didn't really care about during the KS has inspired something that made me happy I bought it years later. I completely agree. Cyradis
And no barbarian queen. Who doesn't want a barbarian queen? Gets around the "but the impractical armor!!" issue because Conan the fella doesn't really wear much, so a barbarian queen can be as unconstrained as she wants to be.

For a figure to try & bring in people this one doesn't really inspire. I see the Conq & King being added later on down the road for purchase, after the KS is over & we are waiting for fulfillment. I don't think this KS is gonna reach those backer numbers, maybe the Conq, but not the King. I like the above idea of a fatter, older version of the King. The way the sculpts are, it looks like he a 3 stage character in a matter of weeks. Bases, I can always use bases, even 2 years from now, I can uses bases. Speaking of bases, I'm waiting to see what I'll use my Base Boss 2 pledge on. Chonk is a neat dragon & I'll probably get it. It is mind-blowing exciting? I'm not sure of that, still a nice addition to help jumpstart the KS again at least.

Forgot the Chorus: You should buy three sets (three sets!) You ought to buy three sets (three sets!) Briarwood looks so dang good You've got to buy three sets (three sets!) So not quite half way done timewise, and we need 8,300 backers. That averages out to... oof, 489 people per day? Yikes. Bones 5 had 18,587. Bones 4 had 16,200. It's doable. Just going to take a lot of people pulling the trigger that haven't been so far.
JoeGKushner
Like the idea of a three stage unlock. In most cases Reaper will unlock if we're close so my assumption is we're going to get them all. Dislike that we're not getting more 3-stage characters. Mind you I'm old and the Ral Partha 3-stage bits were great for the various multi-class combos that were standard in the 1st and 2nd ed days. I hope we start seeing some more pieces like more dragons and whatever the 'encounters' are going to be.

If the armor is impractical or inefficient, why bother. Just skip it all together! Can somebody tell me what color dragon Chonky Boy (girl?) might be?
