Hi everybody. Since I recently joined the Reaper forum, I thought I might as well share one of my latest painted minis.

I have chosen this mini to represent a wizard apprentice in an egyptian version of Frostgrave. Since she is 'only' an apprentice, I wanted her to look a little less important, which is why I cut off the tiara. Unfortunately the little baboon that was included hasn't been painted as I have no use for him... yet.

Awesome work, I love the reflection on her hair and the nmm.

The fact that you removed her headdress changes the model and makes her more relaxed, I think it help bring the focus to her face.

Excellent conversion; wouldn't have believed she came with a tiara if I didn't already know! Great paint job too. 

You'll find something for that baboon to do sooner or later...

What wizard doesn't need a familiar?

Thanks. I used Citadel colors:

  • Ratskin Flesh
  • Reikland Fleshshade
  • Bestigor Flesh
  • Ungor Flesh
  • Probably a bit of Pallid Wych Flesh in the mix for the last highlights.

Out of curiosity, where did you get the Egyptian terrain pieces? I'm putting together terrain for Call of Cthulhu and would love more Egypt-themed items.

The egyptian dungeon tiles are made by Lunesdargent Workshop, a canadian company. Originally they were casting those in some kind of sandstone but they stopped since it wasn't profitable (I think? It's been a while). I don't think they are selling those sandstone tiles anymore. However the tiles are also available as digital files for 3D printing: https://lunesdargentworkshop.com/shop/openlock-3d-files/

 

The braziers were originally from Dark Fable Miniatures. Now they can be found on Dragon Bait Miniatures: https://www.dragon-bait-minis.com/dark-fable-miniatures/

      Usually when an expedition searches for ancient sites they don't expect those sites to be still inhabited by the original owners.
      Even less so they expect to encounter a beast from beyond time that these people seem to use as guard dogs.

      This is a Photobackdrop Board I built for my Shifting Sands Project.
      I was inspired by the great backdrops @malefactus built, so I built one for my Jungle Project a few years ago, and now this one.
      It's a Temple of Apophis the Suneater.
       
      The Large Cobra is the Bones King Cobra SKU: 44103
      The statues, altar, braziers are all 3D printed files from Artisan Guild. on my Elegoo Mars
      The Treasures are a mix of Reaper Egyptian Treasure SKU: 03112  and some Resin treasures from Tabletopstudios/Minimonsters.
      The Temple is carved from AK Interactive Foam and the Glyphs are made with the Greenstuffworld Egyptian Rollerpin.
      Tufts from Vallejo.

      Nobody in his right mind would build a Temple to honour the Suneater, the Destroyer, the Serpent God Apophis and yet...here it is.
      Many adventurers thought themselves to get rich upon finding the halfburied entrance, none returned.
