You hear the phrase "a face only a mother could love" from time to time, but these walleyed privateers? Who WOULDN'T want to give these squamous denticulate bastards a hug and a ham sandwich?! No heart could be so hardened, no soul so bitter!

Beautiful work here.

Very nice. The shading on the white pants is truly nice.

Thank you KruleBear! I was wondering if white wasn't too boring, but I had to choose a color and wanted to do three different colors of pants.

Thank you Rigel, I'm sure their mom (moms, who's to say they're related?) are very proud of them!

Lovely, subtle work.  What great figures.

But "squidmen"?

Yeah, who knows how they got that name?  They are named by Tom Meier's kid Theo when he was young.

Great job, strange that they called them squidmen, being hammerhead sharks.

Yeah, not sure the logic on that, other than that they were named by a child.

Love the sharky skin! It looks like sharkskin feels.... such quirky sculpts!

Yeah, they were great fun to paint!

Really cool models. The blending/highlighting on the pants is amazing. Great work on the eyes, too.

Thanks Grand Slam! I’ve never painted such oddly far-set eyes before. When you look at them straight on, you don’t even see their eyes!

These guys are hilarious, great work painting, but this sculpt has me in giggles! How are they expected to aim with eyes 3 feet apart and facing opposite directions? I love the dumb open mouth look of the first two, I imagine the 3rd would have it too if not for the knife in his mouth

Yeah, these are some pretty fun figures!  Designed by a little kid and brought to life by his sculptor dad!  I think that's why they have the goo guns, which I imagine instead of a small/large bullet spray out a pretty wide arc of goo to somehow disable their opponents, making the aiming not as precise or critical.
