ced1106
"Two Boxes of Battle Maps, Pre Written Adventures, Encounter Generators, Adventure Planners & Monsters for 2 fully mapped settings! Loke Battlemats also has "Adventure Box: Valley of Peril" map set and "Untold Encounters of the Random Kind" PDF / book if you prefer retail. The digital content is a great bonus to the physical maps. You can print out illustrations from the PDF to use as handouts, and print maps as player maps. You can also print out only what content you will need for the next gaming session. You can also print out a map, and cut out and mount portions of the map (eg. village houses) to use as game tiles on other maps. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/gamingbooks/rpg-encounter-toolboxes-the-veiled-dungeon-and-the-long-road Edited May 26 by ced1106
Adrift
I love their work and was astounded when I saw that they were going away from their spiral books to the foldable…something that Yarro Studios did on their last KS. I wish I had the ones from Yarro…but China-shipping delays. I’m definitely wondering how well the edges of the folds are going to hold up with play and over time.
ced1106
I have the Valley of Peril maps, and the folds are holding fine, although I haven't used them super much. You can also store them flat in a larger box or something. But Big Book 3 is out in retail if you prefer spirals! I think Loke is going for a variety of formats for whichever you prefer. I find separate foldables useful to make larger maps for bigger fights and miniature skirmish games, or portability, if you're only going to use a few maps somewhere else. Adrift
I actually don’t love the spirals and have considered cutting them off in the past and carefully storing the maps in an organizer so that I can just grab and take the ones I want with me, on the go. Plus, as you pointed out it means you can arrange them however you want.

ced1106
SG's hit! Maps in the set so far... (EDIT: See later posts) Edited June 9 by ced1106
Nunae
Both these sets look rather useful, especially the Long Road for those impromptu travelling or camping encounters. On the dungeon side I've rarely used the maps with lots of tiny rooms pre-drawn. If I need something like this I'll draw it myself, but mostly we end up fighting in bigger rooms. But maybe the encounter descrition hand inspiration here. The Rooms book on the other hand looks useful with the banquet scene.
