Moderator Popular Post Chaoswolf Posted May 19, 2022 Moderator Popular Post Share Posted May 19, 2022 I finished Ape-X this evening, I figure he'll go well with the mad scientist group of figures that I'm slowly working on. His base was warped pretty badly, and even boiling it didn't help, so I chopped it off and rebased him on a resin base that looks like a wrecked lab. Like most of my stuff, he's painted for tabletop; I hope you like him.

Rigel
I'm always here for any iteration of this rad ape sculpt! Love the base with the machine parts.

You'll also be glad to know I've got a couple more copies of this sculpt that I'm going to convert a little bit and paint up.
Iridil
Looking good! Love the base - the whole thing has a very pulpy vibe.
Grand Slam
Very cool...especially the buttons/gauges on the backpack and that crazy left eye. My only suggestion would be some silver highlighting here and there on the metal bits (just to help them stand out from the dark skin/fur when he's on the table). His teeth also look quite realistic!

Thank you, the buttons and gauges were fun to do. I did use some silver highlights, but they appear to have been too subtle. I'll go revisit them and see what I can do.
