A bit of both. I rank personal hygiene very high, which includes clothing; I wash my uniforms at the end of each week, avoid getting stains on clothing, and scrub to get them out (it doesn't help that my uniform is white). I try to keep my space tidy at work, or when I am cooking/assembling something at home.

 

All that effort is draining though, so mess tends to build up at home. Clothes don't always make it into the dirty laundry bag, dishes can pile up in the sink (dishwasher is currently broken), and just last night I didn't have the energy to sort clean socks when I got home, so the pile got pushed onto the half of the bed I don't sleep on.

 

I try to do better, but energy level is the determining factor. I don't actively try to make a mess. I believe in being tidy throughout a task as much as possible.

Depends on who you ask.  I feel I'm tidy with things, but ohhhh noooo, my mother could go on for aaaaaages.  I like my spaces lived in, and my workbench with my common tools ready to go.  A tidy workbench means it's never used, or you literally tidied it up to take a "here's before the project started" pic.

By which I mean if there is a health or safety reason for it to be clean,  you can safely bet that it is. 

 

My bathroom is clean. My kitchen is clean. My workbench (both at home and work) is a complete disaster.

Yah this is definitely me as well. Thou, I am a clean freak (thou I'm not the boy in the bubble like my co-worker is kinda clean freak) when I'm at work.

I am a clean person living in a cluttered world. I've learned to give up and embrace the mess (cough... wife's mess... coughcough) in order to maintain a happy life.

Dogs love baths when properly treated, it's the dreaded cats that will tear their owner apart when trying to bath them 🙂

Definitely messy.

The place isn't gross, it could just do with being cleaned and tidied a bit more often, I'm simply not very houseproud though.

Yes; i.e., I am a firm believer in cleanly disorder. While everything on or around me is clean, my space tends to have an explosion in a craft store chic.
