June 8th Question of the Day:

Can anyone figure this one out?

image.png

I have only questions:

Star of David on the rear wheel hub?

Is the vehicle property of the Israeli Air Force?

(White Roundel with Blue Star of David is IAF; they’ve used that since they got their first batch of Bf-109s.)

How does this move without pedals?

Or a chain drive?

Front wheel has a blue Sheriff’s Star?

(Seven points instead of six…)

How does this thing steer?

Why is a potato considered funny?

(I have seen other tater cartoons and they rate the same question…)

Maybe @Werkrobotwerk has an answer; he posted while I was typing.

You know I wasn't aware that the Israeli's made use of the Bf-109 after WWII since it was a German Plane, but it seems the Chezs sold those to them as their first fighter planes.

Interesting!

Technically it was based on the BF 109 this one had a different engine.

Isn't that a kid's book? A buddy of mine manages a warehouse full of kid's books and is always giving them out for other folk's kids. Pretty sure I've seen that on one the books he's always handing out.

Yeah, it's a baby book, for teaching vocabulary through the use of silly pictures.

Yes, this is indeed a children's book. It's been very popular lately among the library branches when I've been sorting books, and it has a whimsy to it that makes me happy. But yes, more work was put into drawing the potato than the bike.

June 9th QotD:

If you could go back in time, what year would you travel to?

Which set of time traveling rules are we following? Terminator? Back to the Future? Hot Tub Time Machine? Doctor Who? Bill & Ted? These are important to know, as some of them have time moving to correct itself if any changes are made.

Nah, I'm good.  Current times may not always be the best, but they're a lot easier to enjoy without all the various time travel restrictions...
