Sorry guys, not too technically advanced, but here is a link to the Ral Partha Legacy's fourth Kickstarter, this time adding elves, dwarves, humans, orcs/goblins and some creatures to the mix.   Check it out, you can buy in a wide variety of ways, be if from the individual figure to large armies in bundles and packages.  The majority of this was sculpted by Tom Meier, and all the new pieces were sculpted by him as well.  Lots of visual images and aid to help you decide what you'd might like to snag.  I'm biased as a long time fan of both Partha and Meier, I'm definitely going to grab a good number of individual pieces on this one!

EDIT:  Added some photos of the new sculpts from Mr. Meier:

The only gripe I have is that there are decently priced bundles that let you get a variety of Elves and Dwarves, but the similarly labeled bundle for Goblins has 3 models. I will likely back this, but I'm not sure how deep yet, or what options I'll go with.

Nice to see them doing some Thunderbolt models.  I'd back it if they ever redid the old limited edition ones from way back in the day.  I have the adventurers, dwarves, and elves but not the kings of the north I think it was?

TBM is great stuff, but I have a special place in my life for Tom Meier (you may have heard the story of how I sort of ended up as a professional musician because of a single Meier mini!). When he closed his personal shop I went in pretty deep and the quality is wonderful. I wish he'd have done more from the French and Indian War line, the Mohawk I have is one of my favorites.

If I were currently collecting minis, I'd be down for this one in a second (I was already on notify just to check out the new sculpts, heh).

I have not heard this story, so now I'm either really curious for a retelling or a link!

Wow, nostalgic. Not going to back but if I ever feel the need to pick up some old school minis again I know where to look.

Yeah, either with these, with their classic feel, or just the Iron Wind Metals or Ral Partha Legacy web sites, you can find tons of miniatures from the 70's to the 2000's and a few newer modern renditions as well!

Hello everybody,

related to the Kickstarter, but also just some really nice videos that Ral Partha Legacy did.   These are a number of interviews with Tom Meier, the sculptor behind the new miniatures and basically behind Ral Partha itself since the seventies, as well as the "discoverer" (can't really say inventor ) of how greenstuff can be used to sculpt miniatures:

Have a look, some videos are longer than others, but all worth seeing if you're interested in miniatures, sculpting, the history of miniatures, et cetera!
