Yours looks better than most of the ones done by “professionals” on their YouTube channels as a paid promotion to buy the recent Fart Quest book.

I printed mine smaller to look somewhat to scale with our HeroKids minis, but never got around to painting them. The purple, hair, and face on yours is awesome.

(I wonder how long it will take them to write the final book.  My son and I are waiting to see how the tale ends. )

@KruleBearI'm gonna say that's maybe some of the best feedback I've ever had.  I'm far from pro, i am sometimes not even sure which colors to use, but that compliment really feels good.

I used the cover of the books to to see colors to use. Unfortunately, there's really none that i could find showing her armor color or clothing.  I decided to keep the purple of her headband as my matching color in the cape and tunic.  Orange accents because of the hair.  And since i already had orange colors, figured may as well go for some kind of lava hammer instead of just stone.

My kiddo loved it.

I am also waiting for that 4th book.  They are fun to read together. Gotta enjoy the little things while you can with kids.

My favorite part here is the red color you used on the hammer. It looks just like red clay brick (which wouldn't hold up much for war hammer purposes, 🙂but you totally nailed the color).

That purple cloak is also expertly done. This is a great example of the effects that can be achieved by having dark darks and not being afraid to push ahead in the highlights

An all-around great piece.

@Grand Slamare we bff's? the recent feedback now on 3 different posts have been awesome. Thank you!

I have a hard time picking colors.  I happen to be colorblind, so colors and values are really tricky.  I often make my red base color an orange as i highlight, or push my purple into pink.  I have to do a subtle as i can on transition, but always fun to improve.

Interestingly, i normally use vallejo. I have a bunch of MSP paints that have been sitting and underutilized.  What I've found is the blend with msp because of their less sense medium, is that the paint works better to tie together.  It's made me want to push color further, especially on sword and armor.

Great comment and i appreciate you giving specifics.
